All have image descriptions unless stated otherwise.
alias_sqbr Fannish and personal stuff. Updated frequently, usually a mix of reviews, art dumps, and health stuff, for which I have a special filter.
sqbr Serious social justice discussions. Quieter than it used to be but still updated semi regularly, though posts these days are usually locked.
alias_sqbr: Crossposts of alias_sqbr. I answer comments etc but dreamwidth is the blog's real home.
sqbr Fairly active, random mix of nerdery, pretty things, and social justice.
alias-sqbr Creative things I have made. Updated semi regularly eg whenever I make something. Mostly fanart.
sqbr Quietish, mix of reblogs, Australian politics and silly comments about my cat. Mostly used for following people I know in Perth.
sqbr AO3: fanfic, art for exchanges or with multiple pages, the odd game or piece of original fiction.
sqbr Deviantart: art, mostly fanart
sqbr Fanfiction.net: fanfiction
I also have Professional Artist And Game Developer stuff that avoid linking to my fannish persona publicaly but can be seen here if you're on the access list for sqbr or here for alias_sqbr.
And I have a Facebook account under my legal name which I try to keep separate from all the rest. I tend to only really add people I'm friends with offline, especially family and people in Perth. If you fit that description and know my legal name then feel free to friend me.
Other than that pretty much anyone is welcome to follow any of my blogs. I'd rather noone followed me for hatereading or whatever but if you're doing that you presumably don't care.
I think that's everything!
Pick a date in January. Pick a topic. On the date you choose I will post something about that topic. It can be fandom-related or not. Pretty much anything you've ever seen me post about unlocked, or comment on in other venues, is fair game. If a topic is uncomfortable for me (too personal or potentially identifying) or simply something I know very little about (unfamiliar canon, say), I may ask you to make a second choice. If you want to request more than one topic, pick a different day for each.

Digging through my old posts to find some of the links I came across proof I predicted the Elementary finale, woo! (Spoilers, obviously)
I have now read every Han Gyul/Eun Chan Coffee Prince fic on the AO3 and fanfic.net (there were about 6, all fairly short) I did not read the many fics with summaries like "Hermione must pretend to be a man to work at Draco's coffee shop", or the fic where the secondary female character is sent off so that her poor woobie man can be with someone better. Ah, ff.net.
After watching the anime, thinking about it, looking up and reading long pages of discussion, rewatching the first episode ten years later, and reading some more theories on various webpages I think I finally understand what the hell was going on with those weird emails at the start of Serial Experiments Lain. Maybe. Does anyone else feel it has a certain stylistic similarity to Puella Magi Madoka Magica?
( Lain spoilers )
How great is tree for buying me a paid account?
The fact that you think her amazingness can be contained in a poll question is an insult to her treetacularness
(Sorry lj peeps your version of this post will be kind of boring)
I may well go through and do another winnowing without warning in the near future, I was on the line with some people (and couldn't remember who several of you are, oh for notes)
It's annoying, I really want to be open to comments from a wide variety of people, but the spammers make that difficult :/
"Mini" femslash meta: Lovers in a Dangerous Time What's your approach to writing femslash in times and places that are notoriously unfriendly for f/f relationships, especially historical settings?"
Blogging about disability day: National Disability Insurance Scheme rally I went to a real rally! It was very exciting! (Ok, not that exciting. But there are pictures)
Saw the romantic comedy "Friends with benefits", I really enjoyed it. Descends a little into traditional romantic comedy tropes (including soulmates) at the end, but it mostly felt like it was about real people not A Man and A Woman, and was charming and funny. Also, Mila Kunis spends a lot of time in very little clothing.
Finally: Instead of celebrating Three Weeks For Dreamwidth with exclusive-to-DW content, I am going to celebrate it by letting my fellow DW (and LJ ;)) users pick the content. Is there something you'd like me to post about that isn't fic? Meta, episode/book/show/movie reviews (for something I've already read/seen), memes, DVD commentaries on stuff I've done, history posts, whatever; just comment here and ask for it! Weird topics you think nobody else will care about are totally acceptable, at worst I will just write a very short post :)
(modified from this post by toft. Because I was thinking of doing something like this anyway, and now have an excuse)

If you like femslash, check out girlgay's list of femslashers active on dreamwidth. Or, more generally, this very useful discussion of active dreamwidth communities.
And if you like romances, someone took my idea for a social justice minded discussion community for romance novels and made thoughtfulromantics!
I haven't been keeping up with Yuletide very well at all, but I was utterly charmed by the Baccano! fic Nice Holystone Remains Unafraid to Throw Herself Into Explosive Situations by skygiants, it makes a really nice coda to the anime.
Ok, I think that's everything.
So, livejournal! These new comment settings sure are annoying, huh? If you have a paid or plus account you can use css trickery to bring back subject lines for comments and various other functionality. I have a Basic account but I don't get many comments on lj any more (and even fewer with subjects) so am not too fussed.
Also, check your livejournal account settings some people have been unknowingly signed up for automatic payments. "Luckily" we had our credit card number stolen and had to get new cards since the last time I paid for an lj account.
I don't want to be one of those dreamwidth evangelists, but if you do decide you want an account I think they're still not requiring invites right now (EDIT: not for the rest of the year), and I have plenty spare anyway.

Would you like to be on the sickblargle filter?
Would you like to be taken off the sickblargle filter?
Is this is question unnecesary?
( What you'd be getting into )
djkittycat came over yesterday, it was really fantastic to meet in person and we had a nice long chat. I have to get better at remembering that when I'm feeling excited about talking to someone I feel more energetic than I really am, and need to force myself to sit down. My legs are not happy with me today, indeed they are not. (A similar effect caused a lot of peaks and troughs of energy when I had jobs involving public speaking)
I made a post over at sqbr about the marketing involving the female Shepard character in Mass Effect 3.
There's a fest for non-English speaking Dreamwidth users in the works.
Here is a cool Stargate cake that I am too lazy to submit as a post to nerdycookies.
I've been discovering the joy of the right sort of anonymous fannish discussion, see for example this femslash one at girlgay. Speaking of which....
Lost Girl season 2 teaser trailer! Woo! (Nothing actually happens in it apart from Bo sitting in an atmospheric white room playing a large music box. I'm just excited about it existing at all :))
Reading my dreamwidth network without the feeds. The ratio of stuff I want to read to stuff I don't is much more useful.
The Manga Guide to Databases by Mana Takahashi: For anyone who has wanted the fundamentals of Databases and SQL explained to them in the form of a cute manga about a princess and a fairy. No, really, it's adorable. It's not the best textbook ever, I did learn some stuff but a lot of the explanations were very shallow, I think it would work best as introduction in conjunction with a more dense text with lots of in-depth definitions. And the plot is pretty light, I can't see it appealing to anyone who isn't genuinely interested in databases (which I am, having used them at my old job with no theoretical training beyond my second year Computer Science data structures course) But I was the perfect audience, and I enjoyed it :)
The Morishima Akiko tag at daily_yuri (she can also be found at Lililicious), especially "Off Time" and "Happy Picture Diary", which both show the happy lives of adult lesbian Japanese women (as opposed to angsty schoolgirls as in a lot of yuri). Her comics are always so adorable and happy.
Some vids (mostly angsty, because angsty vids make me happy):
- Rolling in the Deep: all the Xmen films. The Charles/Erik vid I've always wanted. (Well, it's more focussed on them rather than the broader themes than I'd like, but that's not really an objective flaw)
- Seamstress Nikita: The Nikita&Alex vid I never knew I needed. I've watched very little Nikita but the complex codependent mentor thing hits all my buttons.
- Don't Lose Yourself Doctor Who. Donna ;_;
- Around Us Avatar the Last Airbender. I had to go back through a few pages of bookmarks to find something genuinely happy :)
I'm playing Dragon Age 2 for the third time and enjoying it more than I thought I would. The plot really is pretty railroady with most "important" decisions (especially early on) having only an illusion of choice, but with a sufficiently different personality the experience still feels fairly fresh. Rowan is a sensible devoutly moral pro-Templar female warrior, as a contrast to Stefan the good natured wishy-washily pro-mage-freedom male rogue and May the aggressive snarky amoral female mage.
The "Taunt enemies to come closer, make them explode with Holy Smite" warrior technique is nearly as much fun as making fireballs rain down from the sky as a mage :D
( Spoilery stuff )
I've gotten them all to crosspost now, sorry for the sudden flood!
(People on dw may also have noticed a slight downturn in post frequency, but that was just due to me not feeling like posting anything :))
