EDIT: It's possible you can just skip this scene and everything continues on fine.
I couldn't find anyone else talking about this so I don't know exactly what triggers the problem. But a specific scene in the Act 1 part of the "Find the Githyanki creche" questline wouldn't work for me whenever I tried doing it in Act 2. It was definitely a bug: the scene would play, but then the game wouldn't update the questline, so the quest couldn't progress, and if I talked to those characters again the scene would happen again.
Afaict, while this quest isn't part of the main plot, it's reasonably important and will have consequences in Act 2. I wasn't super far into Act 2 so I replayed from an Act 1 save and it went fine. I haven't seen what happens next with this plotline in Act 2 so don't know if those parts are bugged.
I only noticed this bug after using a cheat, which could theoretically be the problem. But Act 2 saves from before I used any cheats were still bugged, and Act 1 saves weren't.
A minor Act 1 sidequest I hadn't finished worked fine when I did it in Act 2, but I don't know how many others might be bugged.
Below the cut: No major game spoilers, just enough details to identify the exact scene.

Book news!
Aug. 5th, 2021 12:32 pmTwo bits of news about fantasy m/m novels I woke up to this morning:
All three MXTX novels have been licensed in English! That's Scum Villain's Self Saving System, The Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation (upon which The Untamed is based), and Heaven Official's Blessing.
On the plus side this means we'll be getting better translations and can support the author. On the downside it's going to be harder to read any of them in English for the next 3 years until the official translations fully come out. I already have a copy of Heaven Official's Blessing and apparently there's PDFs of the others...around.
‘Valdemar Universe’ Fantasy Book Series In The Works For TV From Kit Williamson, Brittany Cavallaro & Radar Pictures I must admit I didn't really click with the series when I read it but I know a bunch of you are fans, and it will still be pretty cool to see an overtly gay fantasy story on tv.

Covid Vaccine in WA
Mar. 24th, 2021 08:18 pmApparently appointments made with the previous link may be considered invalid :( Afaict this is the right link: https://covid-vaccine.healthdirect.gov.au/eligibility
As they say about the hospital centres: If you have not been directly invited to book an appointment through your employer, you will likely be turned away at one of these vaccination locations.
Apparently some otherwise eligible non-frontline workers who made hospital appointments have been turned away, while others have successfully been vaccinated. So, whether you want to to take the chance is up to you.
Sorry to anyone who got messed about by me posting the other link, in my defense it was very unclear, and even had a "Are you a front line worker?" question that let you continue if you clicked "no".

I think you have to be one of:
Quarantine & Border Workers, Frontline Health Care Workers, Other Health Care Workers, Aged Care and disability care residents, Elderly adults aged 70 and over, Critical and high risk workers, Younger adults with an underlying medical condition including those with a disability
I found it all a bit confusing tbh, but I got an appointment.

Nicely laid out advice re: Covid
Mar. 13th, 2020 08:14 amFlatten the Curve's DOs and DON'Ts. It's a US site but this section is pretty universal.
Above the section I linked is a bunch of depressing stuff about the US healthcare system etc which I scrolled past because there's not much I can do about that!
I'd already read the CDC and Australian government stuff but liked this site's balance of explanations and advice.
*offers everyone some delicious, sustaining, and germ-free virtual cake in these difficult times*

What I can and can't eat
Oct. 4th, 2019 07:59 pmIt was time to make an updated version!
If something isn't listed, it's possible I didn't think of it, but it may also be in the fuzzy grey area of "it depends how much and in what context".
( WHAT I CAN'T EAT )

Trigger Warning for Helix Waltz
Jun. 20th, 2019 06:37 amIt's in the fourth main quest for Chapter 5, I think you have to be around level 50. It's all implied and nothing happens to the protagonist, but I found triggering enough that it's taken me until now (like 2 weeks later) to feel up to writing about it.
It's an unavoidable quest, containing important information. I'm now 3 quests in Chapter 6, and none of the later quests have triggered me the same way, but the events of that one quest have left a lasting cloud over some characters for me. If anyone's played further, does this sort of thing come up again?
Also, I don't have triggers around disordered eating but some of the stuff in the game still makes me wince.
Since I find the topic triggering I may have to archive comments without replying, sorry.
Content note: rape. Some spoilers.
