It was time to make an updated version!

If something isn't listed, it's possible I didn't think of it, but it may also be in the fuzzy grey area of "it depends how much and in what context".

WHAT I CAN'T EAT

Broad issues:
• overall acid dishes (this includes fruits like plums and citrus, most fruit juices, salad dressing, preserved veggies and pickles, soft drink, and vinegar)
• large quantities of fat (ie deep-fried stuff)
• alcohol

Creamy:
• dairy eg cheese, milk, cream, butter
• coconut
• unfermented soy (including soy flour, tofu, soy protein)

Spices:
• peppermint
• chili, paprika
• mustard
• cocoa or cocoa butter, tea/coffee (even decaffeinated)
• artificial sweeteners

Vegetables:
• red capsicum
• spring onions/leek/watercress/chives
• beetroot
• Most raw vegetables

Fruits:
• Anything very acidic
• raw apple or pear
• stone fruits
• mango

Other:
• kidney beans
• pine nuts
• xanthum gum or guar gum



WHAT I CAN EAT

Ingredients I can eat:

Proteins:
• Basically any unprocessed meat, including sashimi
• all nuts except pine nuts and coconut
• avocado
• eggs

Spices:
• turmeric, ginger, cinnamon, pepper, salt
• soy sauce, miso paste, fish sauce, black bean sauce
• cooked: parsley, coriander, basil
• sugar, maple syrup, golden syrup, rice syrup
• vanilla essence, artificial flavours and colours
• baking powder, yeast, gelatine, agar

Vegetables:
• raw: lettuce and cucumber
• cooked: carrot, zucchini, asian greens, peas, corn, potato, sweet potato, mushrooms, broccoli, green capsicum, pumpkin

Fruits:
• cooked: apple, pear
• raw: berries (unless very sour), lychees, rambutan, persimmon, banana, melons, grapes

Complex Carbs:
• white rice, puffed corn, white wheat flour

Processed foods I can eat (depending on specific ingredients):

• foods which contain acidic ingredients but are not super acidic overall
• cake made with eggs, white flour, sugar, Nuttelex, and flavouring
• white bread
• jam, peanut butter, Vegemite, Nuttelex
• Peckish brand Original Rice crackers
• plain corn thins
• A lot of East Asian dishes eg teriyaki, bulgogi
• roast meat
• meringues, pavlova with no cream
• modest amounts of hummous
• Most things on my *-free food tag, though if you go back too far you'll hit stuff from before I noticed/acquired some of the intolerances above.
