So I know I just posted about how I played a whole four hours of Veilguard (a non negligible amount of which was naturally spent tweaking my character's appearance), but I can't find anyone who's laid this out in text and after watching some youtube videos I want to try and understand it. Trust nothing I say here and if anyone has corrections or better links etc please share!

This post is going to completely spoil Veilguard and assume you've played enough dragon age to like... know what the Blight is etc.

These are not the same as my top 5 characters for fic or fanart, just the first 5 I thought of that make me go ahhhhhhh my faaaaave, limiting myself to one per canon. If it was 6 I'd have included Toph Beifong.

Those first two were way more popular than I was expecting for an original work and little fandom, but I put a lot of work into them so it was nice. I've also been making slow progress on my WIPs. One day they will be finished. ONE DAY.

Summary: The oldest house in town sits not in its center, but right at the edge of the town limits. Rumor has it the old building is cursed, that whoever enters will never again be allowed to leave, but Teddy considers that nonsense.

Something I love doing with art is depicting single moments that imply some interesting broader story, and I love when authors create their own version of what that broader story might be. Especially when it's dark femslash :D (My picture didn't even have any people in it! A+ extrapolation)

And I drew this picture of Aveline and Isabela from Dragon Age 2, based on the very sweet Make This Easy by ziskandra. Pretty proud of the rain effect in this one.

For electric_challenge

I like a lot of games which aren't super popular, but when they come up in conversation people tend to either go "Sounds good (but maybe not my thing)" or "Oh yeah I love that game!". I've seen people put down dating sims I like but mostly because the romances didn't work for them which is a matter of taste.

So I'm going to have to say Dragon Age 2, even though it's hardly obscure or unloved, because it's the only game I can think of that I really like which I've seen people outright say is a bad game.

And I mean...it is definitely flawed. The devs were rushed to a ridiculous degree so, like...all the caves are literally identical. There are huge, poorly integrated timeskips. Plot threads are ruthlessly cut and railroaded.

But also it's great! I haven't played it as much as the other two Dragon Age games because I'm too much of a sook about That Sad Thing That Happens, You Know The One. But it has amazing characters, design, and relationships and does some really interesting things with the world and gameplay. And it's just a great story about a bunch of traumatised weirdos fucking up but doing their best. Also it has Fenris and Cassandra in it.

EDIT: Someone else on electric_challenge posted about Dr. Langeskov, The Tiger, and The Terribly Cursed Emerald: A Whirlwind Heist and yeah I think that gets my vote for "underrated" as in "very good and hardly anyone seems to have heard of it, even fans of the genre". If you like surrealy funny Experiences with very little actual gameplay, I recommend it heartily.

Sewing!??:
Finally cleared off some space for my sewing machine and started on some of the projects that have been sadly staring at me from boxes for 2 years. Specifically, a waistcoat and a science dress. Neither turned out perfectly but I achieved my goals.
