The code:

<summary>Spoiler warning</summary>
Spoiler details go here!
</details>

(Hooray for [personal profile] pauraque reminding me how to do <)

Example above the cut
Hello! I was hiding!

Styling the cursor (have not tried yet)

(The cut was here)

Example below the cut
Hello! I was hiding SUPER DEEP DOWN.
Example inside an example!
And I'm hiding even DEEPER. ~Inception.

Sometimes I want to cut multiple things for different reasons (spoilers, triggers, length, etc) that won't all be relevant to the same people, and it's annoying that a normal dreamwidth cut is all or nothing. But now I can divide things up! It can also be used for spoilers inside comments which is useful. Assuming I remember this html >.>

I don't know how to do a code block on DW either, but a cheaty way to show html brackets that should work in most situations is to use the escape codes &lt; (less than) and &gt; (greater than).

(Of course I had to use the escape code for an ampersand to show you that, but let's not delve too deep into escape code inception.)

Using your comments as a sandbox
Because surely you would enjoy knowing that someone is trying out your spoiler-code tip!

And also because trying it out once means it's more likely to stick in my brain.
