Am still feeling depressed, but getting by. My apologies to the multiple people who subscribed to me recently, you all seem very cool but unfortunately my brain's response to "do I want to see the kinds of posts this person makes on my reading list?" was "Who knows who cares EVERYTHING IS TERRIBLE" which was not very helpful.

I have recently made this zuchinni slice minus cheese and oil plus extra egg and some savoury flavours (garlic oil, msg, pepper, salt) a few times using the very convenient zucchini spaghetti from WA Fresh and it is great, though removing most of the fat makes it a trifle rubbery and in need of extra toasting. Going to try it minus bacon next because I don't like eating pork if I can help it.

Though as much as WA Fresh has a nice variety of produce, as I discovered last night they are lacking one very important staple: a "cancel order" button. I had to make a panicked email at 10pm after accidentally ordering twice, it all turned out ok but was rather more stress than I like.

Ha, I imagine "I made this zuchinni slice" was a confusing sentence then. Probably a good thing I didn't talk about hedgehog slice :D

Oh my GOODNESS. Why is it called that?? Also, looking it up, these alternative names are WILD: "cold dog", "cellar cake", "radio cake"...

I had never thought to question the name before but it's not very hedgehog-y is it? The Wikipedia page just brings up more questions than it answers.

How are WA Fresh? I use Aussie Farmers, but despite me ranting at them they don't do free range chicken in this State, and haven't since the LilyDale kerfuffle.

I've never tried their meat but the fruit and veg is pretty good.

Omg, I've never heard of WA Fresh (despite going through like three pages of 'places that deliver fresh produce in WA' a few months ago on Google) and they deliver to Ellenbrook! I'm going to try them, though ugh yes to having to run around and call people and worry about extra money spent if it doesn't get sorted out in time, etc. I hate that kind of stuff.

The zucchini slice looks pretty awesome. And that spiralised zucchini spaghetti looks really amazing. o.o Does it absorb flavour well? I don't actually love zucchini, but I've also never tried it in that form before.

Also...I kind of feel the 'everything is terrible' mood. Life is hard right now, for various reasons, and external world events make everything Extra Exhausting. Or maybe that's just me? But sometimes I just want to mole in my mole cave and be a mole forever. <3

Ooh, I hope they work out for you! I think I chose them as the first promising looking result on a google search, obviously the algorithms were smiling on me that day :)

I like zuchinni, so am not the best judge, but would say they end up tasting mostly of whatever you cook them with.
