nixwilliams and lilysea: thankyou very much for the postcards, they were greatly appreciated. I kept meaning to write you both thankyou messages but the fact I had to do TWO (two! That's like ten minutes of typing!) kept making me procrastinate. So: thankyou :)

Dear everyone else: you are also awesome. I've been feeling very unsocial recently (not in a grumpy way, it's just that the "thinking of how to socialise" bit of my brain has been extra sleepy) but I still enjoy reading about what's up with your lives or what cool/interesting/angry-making things you've seen recently, and think positive thoughts in your direction when things are down etc.

Dear Dragon Age: Origins: you are awesome too, but stop giving me drawing ideas, I have other things to do.

I keep being friended by really interesting, awesome people, and I like it. You guys all rock (As do my old, also interesting and awesome friends, of course)
If I haven't friended you back it's just because I don't feel I know you that well (I read everyone's rss feed): I tend to absentmindedly post random comments to any posts which hit my flist when I'm feeling bored, and this is something I only feel comfortable doing to people once I've known them a while :) (Not neccesarily irl. Also some people just strike me as open to that sort of thing, apologies to anyone who I've misjudged, but that's the price you pay for friending me!)

Also: Is it just me or is it freaking cold? (Here, that is. Though, you know, I'm sure it's freaking cold in other places too)

Two and a halfth thing: I've been doing painting this weekend instead of the many things on my to do list. It's fun!

Our server started making a loud beeping noise last night, Cam seems to have isolated the problem but I may not be very internetty for a while. On the plus side, I'm pretty busy for the next few days anyway. Off to my parents soon!

When does Waicon start? I know it's a dumb question, but I can't find the link to the program, and the official website is kinda hard to navigate and low on info. Whoops, found the program. This is why I shouldn't post when it's past lj-o'clock.

(Yes, I am using my lj to give a message to my husband, who I live with. He's out and won't be awake until after I leave. Anyway, I feel like being obscurely smug to the world :))

If anyone sees me even thinking about using the argument "I'm not getting any sleep anyway, I may as well have some more chocolate", hit me. (though I think the reflux is at least as responsible for me being awake, and I'm not sure what set that off. Too much nuttelexy goodness in the many many biscuits perhaps...)

Oh, and completely unrelated: Fcebook hasn't been letting me log in recently, so I'm incredibly behind in reading messages/friending people etc. Not that I care about or pay much attention to Facebook anyway...

I would have more than an lj greeting to offer but I lost track of time and am now sick :( (It is your birthday, right? If not, um..happy birthday for whenever it was/will be)

Also, Threadless is having a sale. I would have gotten you a voucher, but making sure you wanted it and then getting around to doing it would have taken longer than the sale will last.

I blame thanners. I and tommmo have both fallen to his deadly lurgy, who knows who will be next!

I have pretty much utterly lost my voice and am overall feeling quite sick, and will be leaving the country on Thursday for a trip to Singapore (yes, a lovely piece of synchronicity)

So do not be suprised if I am remiss in answering emails or the phone.

And a rent inspection tommorrow! Ah well, the house is actually pretty clean thanks in part to my luvverly husband distantcam.

Halfway to fifty, huh? It's only downhill from here...
