1) What sort of food processor type thing is best for saving spoons on chopping veggies?

2) A local carpenter/kitchen renovator who would be able to change our cupboards to allow for a dishwasher

3) A local psychologist with wheelchair accessible premises I can get to without too much trouble.

Trying to get my life all organised :)

WAIT I KNOW THIS ONE.

I'm assuming you don't want to chop enormous amounts at a time, so I'm reccing the one I've got: Sunbeam Stickmaster Plus. There are various "Pro" versions but I have the basic one:

https://www.sunbeam.com.au/Food-Preparation/Stick-Mixers/SM6400-StickMaster-Plus.aspx

I chop all the onions, carrots, etc for our family of three (and we cook large, for leftovers) in this little processor. I also make breadcrumbs & stuffing, make various curry pastes, make dumpling batter, all sorts of things. The whisk attachment does what it says on the tin and the stick blender attachment is perfect for soup, but it's the processor that gets a daily workout here. Also it's very light and easy to manage for most people (with the possible exception of severe hand arthritis hindering holding the button down).

We have one and it's fantastic, except that my partner has carpal tunnel and holding down the button vibrates and makes her hands go numb. I have arthritis and it's fine for me though.

I'd forgotten one could use a stick-blender for chopping things... I'm not even sure where the chopping attachment for mine is. I mainly use mine for pureeing soups and fruit smoothies. After breaking at least three of them because they could not cope with the frozen fruit (pre-frozen fruit makes the best smoothies) I gritted my teeth and bought an actual Bamix. I haven't regretted it; those things are built to last.

Yes, I've not had any trouble with Bamix or Sunbeam. But I admit for smoothies I'm usually making them for a crowd, so I pull out the big jug blender. Frozen cubed mango FTW.

Maybe try freecycle or gumtree to see if anyone's got a processor attachment they don't need? So long as it's the same connector on the handle.
