What I can't eat
Easy:
fresh fruit that isn't too acidic, eg melons, grapes, cherries, most tropical fruits except pineapple
fresh vegetables except red capsicum
(salted) nuts except pine nuts (but who brings those to a party?)
marshmallows
Meringues/plain pavlova
Requires some attention:
Arnotts Hundreds and thousands biscuits
Mondo plain or nut nougat
Most hummous (unless it has chili or cheese in it etc)
Coles or Woolworths home brand crunchy bread eg Vienna, tiger loaf
Sunrice Apple and cinnamon rice thins
Have to cook yourself:
Hazelnut macaroons (nut meal, egg white, sugar)
grilled japanese style meat (meat, honey, ginger, garlic, onion, soy sauce, cooked mirin)
sponge cake (eggs, flour, sugar)
roast meat
Here's some more detail.

And a last question - is there a starch to go with hummus item that I've completely missed in the list, or is it a goes on veggies option?

Date: 2012-11-09 02:05 am (UTC)Corn and what flour are both fine. I think arrowroot is ok, I haven't eaten enough to be sure.
The humouss goes with veggies or Coles/Woolworths crusty bread.
Those biscotti sound fine! I can eat SOME preserved fruit, but try not to go overboard. Also, I just don't like it in nougat :D
