Fanfic recs and stuff

alias_sqbrThree fics I've found in the last few days that were EXACTLY what I was looking for in their mix of the right pairing with genuinely interesting explorations of the ideas of canon, huzzah.
Inception:
Everybody rolls with their fingers crossed Arthur/Ariande. Just a nice intelligent characterisation which doesn't gloss over the dream mechanics etc. You'd think there'd be lots of fics like that but all I seem to find is Arthur/Eames.
Supernatural:
Strike Me Down and I'll Become More Powerful Than You Can Possibly Imagine Dean/Castiel and Aziraphale/Crowley, set after Season 5. A fixit fic for heaven itself.
The one thing missing from that fic is any significant female characters. But I was feeling generous on that count since I'd just read:
Holy Clockwork Angels Jo/Ruby. FEMSLASH STEAMPUNK AU. Some aspects didn't quite work for me but it's still pretty cool and the alternate world of demons and machines she's created is genuinely interesting.

James Franco makes Kirk/Spock fanart
Joshua Jackson writes fanfic (the Matt Smith fanfic referred to was an exercise he did to get into character which I'm not sure counts)
I find this rather surreal.
