My laptop is brooooken >:(

Luckily we have an old laptop that mostly works except for the keyboard (and a USB keyboard to use instead), plus the Windows machine I'm on now. But my backups have been acting up so I may have lost 6 days worth of stuff :( I sent myself a copy of the fic I've been working on to gmail which is the main thing I'd be SUPER sad to lose but it still suuuuuucks. I MAY be able to get it running long enough to make a backup, but since the issue is the battery, which could EXPLODE, we are being cautious.

Ok I am going to play animal crossing and remind myself that not everyone whose computer breaks has a backup, password manager, 2 other computers, and a console. STILL SUCKS THOUGH.

EDIT: A solution is in the works.

So, I woke up this morning feeling very much under the weather due to Too Much Caffiene yesterday (there was free chocolate cake, and I am weak) I once again turned on the wrong burner to make porridge, but luckily this time all that was on the other burner was a pot filled with water and not a plastic container filled with oats (that was fun) The thought of all the housework I wanted to get done was very disheartening but after some "R.O.D.: The TV" and with hot chocolate (using the last of the powder, a good omen!) on the way I got to the point of feeling motivated to do some gardening.

And then spilled just-boiled hot chocolate all over myself and the kitchen. Meaning, amongst other things, walking halfway across the house to put on new clothes before realising that I had just passed a bunch of open, street-facing windows with no pants on. Oops.

After cleaning the kitchen and feeling sorry myself I motivated myself to do some gardneing after all: and set off the car alarm. Which I don't have the keys for. On the plus side, it turns out that if you wait long enough it turns off by itself.

So, yes. The plan for the rest of the day is sitting in bed reading fanfic and trying very hard not to break anything. So far, going pretty well.

*stops self from making bread despite craving it, god knows what would happen. Last time I felt this way I forgot the kneading attachment and it just sat there whirring for ten minutes before I noticed and had to attach it through the sticky mess of flour and water*

(*)an anime where pretty much every character is a female book geek. Some of them have paper related super powers. I am totally putting the next disk on my Quikflix queue :)

Times like this my mum says "clearly God has a sarcastic sense of humour" :/

Still, as long as cold tablets get me to the point of saying my vows and cutting the cake I Just Don't Care. I kind of knew it was going to happen anyway, I always get sick when I stress about an upcoming event. I've gotten better at zen-like peace but really, there's only so much you can do for this sort of thing.

*goes to have a nap*

I am sick. Again. Still.

Do not be offended at continuing and worsening of my terribly patchy replies to stuff.

The real estate agent has given us two months to move to a new house.

I got rained on this morning.

I may be too sick to pick up the 3rd Dark Jewels book on Monday and thus may have to wait ANOTHER week to finish it.

I have a grumpy email to the unisfa list which I have typed and then saved in case I reconsider on the morrow.

On the plus side...hmm. Am rewatching Babylon 5, which is good. Also people had lots of good ideas for my work thing, thankyou all.
