My laptop is brooooken >:(

Luckily we have an old laptop that mostly works except for the keyboard (and a USB keyboard to use instead), plus the Windows machine I'm on now. But my backups have been acting up so I may have lost 6 days worth of stuff :( I sent myself a copy of the fic I've been working on to gmail which is the main thing I'd be SUPER sad to lose but it still suuuuuucks. I MAY be able to get it running long enough to make a backup, but since the issue is the battery, which could EXPLODE, we are being cautious.

Ok I am going to play animal crossing and remind myself that not everyone whose computer breaks has a backup, password manager, 2 other computers, and a console. STILL SUCKS THOUGH.

EDIT: A solution is in the works.

Oh no! The worst!

Did your trackpad stop working because the battery was expanding? That's happened twice to our laptops. /o\

Let us know if you want anybody to carefully dismantle your laptop and replace bits!

reminds self to do backups!!

I hope any untoward explodingness is relatively uneventful.

Remember you can put the hard drive into a different computer (one without an exploding battery) and back it up from there.

Also, my sympathies. I loathe computer problems.

Oh, no. :( Laptop crashes are so frustrating (and exploding batteries are always concerning!)
