Free stuff!

Since Cam and I are moving, some stuff we don't want any more! More to almost certainly follow.

A Breville bread maker

A bunch of craft, stationary and sewing supplies. Would suit children I think. Please take the whole lot.

bokashi bin (small indoors compost bin that uses enzymes, which are included)

perfume (calvin klein and other conventional scents I was given as gifts)

2 single armchairs, which I have sprayed with anti-carpet beetle poison just to be sure

small desk

Various size 14-16 clothes and jackets that need drycleaning because they have a small chance of carpet beetle eggs (anything that could be soaked in very hot water has been cleaned and donated already) Includes...

This size 16ish cream and gold pseudo-medieval wedding dress. Has some stains and discolouration and wrinkles (...the cat fell asleep on it), would probably suit redying, fabric in good condition. Fairly adjustable but too tight around the arms for me as a size 18. Here it is from the side.
ONLY TO A LOVING HOME

(I will totally understand if people are too scared by the carpet beetle danger. But I think it's pretty much zero with everything I've listed here except the clothes, and low there, since all they eat is leather, silk and (non-furniture treated) wool. You can spray everything with off-the-shelf anti-crawling-bug poison to be sure, the only reason I haven't is that bug spray makes me feel ill)

I have two bags of size 14-16 women's clothes if anyone local wants to take them off my hands.

What are your favourite visually appealing nature documentaries? Mum is looking for stuff for my grandad, he has pretty bad Alzheimer's so she just wants simple pretty stuff not complex commentary.

Does anyone know how to turn a html file into a google doc so that there are empty lines between the paragraphs? I write fic in a very similar simple html format to AO3's html export, and neither works. For example, here is one of my shorter fics, I can copy or download it as html and import it as html and rich text into Textedit with no problems, but no matter what I do I can't get it to look right in google docs. (Secret message to people offering me advice on beta-ing: thankyou. Now if I can just figure this part out…)

I've been forced to screen anonymous comments due to large volumes of spam :(

Drawing Day looks like a lot of fun even if I will almost certainly forget to get involved myself :)

I've recently noticed my Tumblr follower numbers changing a bit (up on one, down on the other), and while pondering the way that Tumblr's setup encourages one to notice such things(*) decided to poke at my Fanfic.net account to see if my number of subscribers was even listed. At which point I found a very informative page ("Story Stats" under "Traffic") listing all the favourites/subscribers/communities etc attached to my stories, which led me to A collection of Dragon Age Femslash, woo. Sure, Sturgeon's Law applies but at least now I have more than ten to sift through.

(*)I'm sure the high incidence of "Oh, lost a follower :(" posts is related to the numbers staring you in the face every time you check your dashboard, that sort of thing seems much rarer on livejournal/DeviantArt etc.

So the having people come and take our stuff day wasn't all that successful with a whopping three people showing up. Still, got rid of a reasonable amount of the less crap stuff ([livejournal.com profile] nico_wolfwood should be happy to know two of the three were interested in her green velveteen poncho) and Ivo and Alix took some more yesterday. Also offloading the X-files to fresher Ben when I can be bothered trekking into uni (he's paying for it, he gets delivery).

Anyway, I've called up Anglicare to come pick up the bigger stuff (ie the tv) but there's some smaller stuff I'm not sure they'll want/will break in transport that others might.

  • Embriodery thread
  • A straw hat
  • A nice large white teapot, creamer, and base thingy
  • Some SGI computers (yes, the ones Adrian was giving away years ago)
  • Some old macs

Any takers? Yes, you have to come here and get it :P Chances are there'll still be other stuff around to pick through too.

Also, to make any NWN nerds jealous: Cam is in the NeverWinter Nights 2 Beta.

Oh! And we had a wierd phonecall at 3am this morning, which is why I'm all sleepy. Not sure what was up with that.

Yes, we're having to move and being total hoarders have HEAPS of crap..I mean really cool stuff to give away. Including a tv, lots of nice size 12 pants I only just came to terms with never fitting again (plus other clothes, all 10-14 women's), LOTS of books, an unopened "The Price is Right" board game and more candles than you can possibly imagine(*).

What: Come take our stuff super cool happy fun day
Where: 9/32 Seventh ave Maylands (hey, if anyone tries to stalk us we'll be gone soon anyway) Is only a few blocks from the Maylands train station
When: Saturday the 9th of September, from 10 till 5
Who: Anyone who knows either of us at ALL.

Since this is short notice, we really are cool with semi-randoms coming and taking stuff since then at least it will be GONE.

(*)Ok, maybe not that many.

Come see it and be dazzled!!!(*)

Not just for weddings: could be adapted/dyed to a (very fancy) formal dress or costume.

The only catch its you have to come pick it up from my house in Maylands. Size 10-12, suits someone my height (161cm) or a bit taller. Small stain on the back. Looks a lot nicer when pressed and on someone who actually fits it (the zip's not done up)

I'm sure it could look fantastic with a few alterations. I was considering getting the back opened up, lowering the neckline and getting rid of the sleeves but decided it was just easier to get a whole new dress.

And yes, to those who were there, this is the one I haggled down to $30 way back when. And I am a very bad person for creasing it so.

(*)If only by Cam's need to fiddle with every photo he tales in photoshop :)

Does anyone know any good dentists? Preferably near me, but eh. I've decided it's time to take "see dentist" off the "feel guilty about it but don't do it" part of my to-do list.

EDIT: Aren't these pretty? (I made them, such a genius) All spoken for now, sorry :)

Tomorrow begins the 2 weeks of Crazy Work that is the July holidays. Do not expect to hear from me for a while.
