Three Ships: Let's pick three I've been thinking about lately.

• Shi Qingxuan/He Xuan from Heaven Official's Blessing: gender-switching friends to enemies (to lovers in my heart) OTP <3
  
• nb!Tav/Astarion from Baldur's Gate 3: I know, very basic, and I'm not sure I'd even classify it as my favourite BG3 ship. But I'm actually writing fic which definitely counts for something. (Will I actually finish and post it?? TIME WILL TELL)
  
• Momose/Shirosaki from My Boss is Goofy: oh god, THIS is basic. THEY'RE JUST REALLY CUTE.

First Ever Ship: I spent a while poking the release dates of various movies from the mid-80s (when I was 6ish), but it's hard to say when I would have actually seen them, or if my remembered shippy feelings kicked in right away or on later rewatches. Still, the main couple from Splash is definitely one of the earliest, and proof I have always been into xeno lol. Anne/Diana from Anne of Green Gables (the 1985 movie, and then when I was older, the book) was from around the same time, and while I took a long time to realise my feelings were shippy, they were notably intense. I still NOTP Anne/Gilbert for no reason beyond it breaking up my OTP.

Last Song: For some reason I woke up with Manchester Orchestra - I've Got Friends in my head, a 14 year old song I don't dislike but have never previously gone out of my way to listen to, from a band whose name I couldn't even remember. Guess the universe wanted me to include it in this post!

Currently Reading: I'm not in the middle of anything right now, but I keep meaning to read In the Vanisher's Palace by Aliette de Bodard, and even bought a copy, so let's say that in the hopes it prompts me to actually read it.

Currently Watching: Loki Season 2, Lower Decks, and I mean to try Bodies.

Currently Consuming: Pondering a Vegemite toasted sandwich or maybe some rice crackers.

Currently Craving: I am feeling a bit under the weather, so even though I'm a little hungry and bored I am not really craving much except a nap.

one's ships before being introduced to the concept of ships are always fun to remember i think. before the age of around 15 i nearly always just, shipped what i was "meant" to ship, i shipped the endgame ship, and was nearly never disappointed, so i only remember a couple instances of feeling strongly about it. usually it was part of me just agreeing with the course of the book or show or movie

Me too, which is why my deep antipathy for Anne/Gilbert stuck out (they're the canon het ship, versus the non-canon femslash ship I liked). It was a looong time before I realised where it was coming from.

Loved reading these answers - and ha, I remember having some feelings about the main couple in Splash as well!

Are you on the most recent season of Lower Decks or a previous one?

We actually JUST started the latest season a few days ago, we got a bit behind.

Astarion just draws people in. In my play through I was originally going for Laezel and ignoring Astarion, but then whoops it's polycule time I guess lol.

How are you liking Loki Season 2? I've only watched a couple episodes so far. Then forgot about it solely because I'm just that bad at watching tv shows, but I might just binge it later.

I actually fell head over heels for Shadowheart my first playthrough and didn't totally vibe with Astarion even as a friend for a while. But he grew on me like an Underdark fungus.

I overall liked Loki S2, not quite as much as S1 in general, but I preferred the S2 ending.
