Here's more answers to questions from this post.
fred_mouse: Tell me about something you can see from your window?
brainwane: Are there words you particularly enjoy reading, hearing, writing or saying? Or particular numbers that delight you? Could you share any words you remember learning in the last few years?
skygiants: If you could pick an iconic adventuring outfit, and practicality was no consideration -- say you were designing a personal sim for an immersive virtual world in which you were about to have a sff adventure -- what would it be?
Transcript below the cut, with image descriptions. The sound worked better this time since I made sure to shut down everything but the recording software and text editor.
First: I said "pyramid number" when I meant "triangular number". FOR SHAME, DR SQBR.
Also, I tried editing the video but iMovie crashed. So here's a visual answer to
skygiant's question as mentioned in the video: My animal crossing character on an adventure.

They have pale skin and dark brown eyes, short blue hair and a little goatee. They are wearing a black tophat with red band, short black gothy dress with silver metal detailing, red fishnets, black boots, black bat wings and round antique gold glasses. The ideal adventuring outfit!

Okay now to try videoing. I've turned off everything on my computer so hopefully it won't make sad airplane noises when I record but we'll see how I go, because I don't have a microphone.
Okay next question is from fred_mouse: "Tell me about something you can see from your window." And I've been tired all day and I was a bit worried that by the time I got the energy to do this video you wouldn't be able to see anything from my window but it's not quite that dark yet, although it's seven o'clock at night. So here is my window, [shows view out of window] I don't know if you can see much, but there isn't much to see at my window unfortunately. But there is a big old white wall which is the side of the building next door, a corrugated white wall a little further down, and a couple of disturbingly tall weeds, considering that all there is on the ground out there is slabs. And that's after I hired someone to get rid of the previous disturbingly tall weeds. I don't do a lot of gardening. So that's all there is to my window.
But even though you can't see it right now, sometimes... there's a there's a tree on the wall on the other side which casts the shadow down which can look kind of pretty, and sometimes there's lizards which crawl up the white wall and look very dramatic because there's little dark like geckos against flat white. The cats sit on my windowsill on the inside and look outside and there's sometimes birds and if there's a bird they let me know and I can see it and...bees. We get a lot of bees at that window, I don't know why. When they were building that house next door there was almost a swarm of bees on the the chain-link fence that was there and that was kind of scary, and we actually called a beekeeper, and he was like "nah, they're just passing through, they'll go away", and they mostly did, but for some reason sometimes there'll just be a heap of bees at that window, trying to get inside. Sometimes they will get inside and then they're on the window and the cats chase after them and I have to rescue them so anyway that's what you can see outside my window.
Okay, next question from brainwane: "Are there any words you particularly enjoy reading, hearing, writing, or saying, or particular numbers that delight you?" And I got this comment a while ago and I've been thinking about it and I don't know that there are any words that I'm... I'm sure there are and my brain is just gone completely blank. But numbers, yes, there are numbers that delight me. I really like the number six because it is, well... I've liked it since i was a kid, because it was the favourite number of Bert from Sesame Street, who I really identified with because he was incredibly uptight and neurotic. And he had a favourite number and I liked numbers as a child, unsurprisingly. And then I found out it's perfect number, which is to say that it is the sum of its factors that aren't itself. Because 6 is 1 times 6 and 2 times 3 and so that's one, two, three, and six. You take six off, you get one, two, three. You add one and two and three, and you get six. And i think it might be a... it's a pyramid number [I MEAN TRIANGULAR NUMBER] so you got like one, two, three, it's like a pyramid. So I really like six for that reason. I like 25, I don't know, I like all the squares, but 25 has a certain particular square... something very square about... I don't know, I mean I like nine and the others as well I guess... I love all the squares, I don't mean to make any of them feel bad. I mean square bear, you know, is my username, although it's not wasn't really about squares the numbers... i do like squares.
"Can you share any words you remember learning in the last few years?" Only slang and I can't think of anything... There's cheugy, which is like... I don't... I'm not even sure what that means, I think it's some sort of like...cringe, like a sort of bourgeois middle-aged cringe... I'm sure I've learned some science words, actually, in the last few years... obviously we've learned a lot of words about...diseases. But I can't think of any final answers to that, sorry to have such a boring answer.
From sky_giants: "If you could pick an iconic adventuring outfit, and practicality was no consideration- say you were designing a personal sim for an immersive immersive virtual world in which you're about to have an ssf sff adventure - what would it be?" And I have played a great many games where I created a personal sim for going on an adventure. Specifically Animal Crossing is the one I've played the most and put a lot of effort into the character design. And so I can say with great certainty that I'm a massive goth, and if I was given the chance I would dress in ridiculously ornate yet androgynous goth fashion with giant wings in black. Preferably with the ability to fly, which would be useful for adventuring, so it's very practical. And like knee-high boots with lots of laces and purple hair or blue hair or a combination of the two. [Gestures to my real life purple streaked hair] A top hat, you know, very, um... yes.
That's that's how I would dress. That's how I dress in video games, given the option. I'll try and get a screenshot of my animal crossing villager to give you an idea, and that's definitely how I would dress for adventuring. Why would you not adventure in ridiculous goth clothing. Sometimes I like see other people who play Animal Crossing, and they're like "Yeah my favorite outfit is this" and it's just some like sensible clothing you might just normally wear and buy from a regular shop, and I'm like "Oh, some people genuinely enjoy dressing that way". I just dress that way because it's the only practical way to dress, but given the option, ridiculous goth outfits every day.
I used to be... when I was at uni I used to do the whole sort of boho thrift shop thing. I wore a lot of velvet jackets, and frilly shirts, and elaborate hats, and scarves in matching colors, and long flowing skirts or pinstripe pants, and high boots, and all that sort of thing, and I was constantly being mistaken for an art student. So that's that's my natural aesthetic, I only don't dress that way now because it really doesn't suit the lying in bed all day lifestyle, and I'm larger now and can't go out shopping very much, so it's just a pain in the ass. But that's how i would dress in a game, that's how I would dress in real life. Honestly that's just... why would you not?
So that's all the questions I have for now, I think. At least that's all the ones I cut and pasted into this text document, because leaving Firefox open makes my computer make sad noises, and hopefully it hasn't been making sad noises. I don't think it has, so well I guess we'll see, and if this was a successful experiment. Thank you for the questions, sky_giants brainwane, and fred_mouse, and we'll see how this does.
