The list of anime I'm working through.

Some of these involve common triggers but I've put them at the end after a content warning.

Cells at Work!: Episode 10
Deep down I always knew I was going to drop this, the unfortunate quasi-fascist subtext kept ruining the otherwise cute stories about life for cells inside a body. *drops*

Amanchu!: Episode 1
Slow, gentle slice of life about a girl moving to a small sea-side town to start highschool. Cute girls doing Diving, basically. Nice enough, and moderately femslashy, but I was so bored I barely finished the episode. *drops*

Golden Kamuy: Episode 1
A Japanese war veteran in 1905 needs money to support his dead friend's family, and stumbles into information about a secret hoard of gold stolen from the Ainu. He ends up working with an Ainu girl to find it. I had a feeling this wouldn't be my sort of thing and it's not: good for what it is, with interesting characters and historical detail but too...idk, manly? Apparently some of the (now much older) Shinsengumi show up later which would be interesting but I'm not hanging around that long. Also while the art is mostly fine there's the odd bit of gratuitous, poorly integrated CGI (in a historical drama! IS IT THAT HARD TO DRAW A BEAR) *drops*

A Place Further Than the Universe: Episode 1
Cute Girls Go To Antarctica. I got bored enough on my first attempt to pause halfway through the first episode, and I have reached my boring moe threshold for the day so I'm just dropping it without trying again. *drops*

SANRIO BOYS: Episode 9
Cute boys slashily bond over cute toys. I liked the start of this then started to get bored but there's only 4 episodes until the end of the show. But it's just. So silly. I couldn't make it through this episode, will decide if I want to watch the final one *quasi-drops*

RWBY: Season 4 Episode 5
Tropey US-made CGI fantasy show. I was enjoying it before but stalled on this episode, which is all X-men-esque Good Pacifist Activists versus Creepy Violent Terrorists arguing about Catgirl Racism. BUT I GOT THROUGH IT and hopefully the next episode will be less annoying. *keeps*

sweetness & lightning: Episode 10
A single dad gets into cooking with his daughter and one of his students. I really like this show, I just didn't want to run out of episodes! But as is clear by now I really need to stop hoarding shows for a rainy day. *keeps*

NEW GAME!: Season 2 Episode 3
Cute girls develop games! Fairly generic, mildly entertaining, queerbaitingly femslashy moe but it's about adults and I'm a game dev myself, so, I enjoy it. *keeps*

Flying Witch: Episode 9
A teenage girl learns to be a witch. Fluffy slice of life, a little slow but otherwise really enjoyable, I mainly stalled because I didn't want to run out and I am an anime hoarder. *keeps*

March comes in like a lion: Episode 44 (I skipped to the end to see how it ended)
Gentle character drama about a depressed young man who plays professional shogi (a traditional Japanese board game) slowly working through his issues. Very good for what it is but something about how it treated it's female characters bugged me *drops*

Working Buddies!: Episode 1
Silly shorts about a pair of cat friends and their various jobs. Inoffensive but didn't grab me. *drops*

Our love has always been 10 centimeters apart: Episode 4
Fluffy, soppy romance. I was vaguely enjoying this until I had a premonition that it might go in a way I found annoying, so looked ahead and yes it does. *drops*

*** Content warnings: rape, incest ***

Hakuoki Reimeiroku: Episode 11
Hakuoki prequel about would-be samurai trying to find their place in a rapidly changing Japan (also, there's vampires). I was moderately enjoying this and wondering why I'd stopped 2 episodes before the end then hit the rapey sideplot I'd forgotten about. The show doesn't condone it but I suspect things are going to end Badly for the girl and just didn't feel up to it. I might skip this episode and try watching the final one for some closure. *quasi-drops*

Hakata Tonkotsu Ramens: Episode 2
A cheerfully violent show with a cast of assassins/mobsters/torturers etc, centering on the slashy friendship between a private investigator and a cross-dressing Chinese assassin (the main feminine presenting person in the opening, but he's very clear about being a cis man who likes women's clothing) I liked the first episode but found a rapist villain triggery and was told he keeps being around for the next episode or so, so have to be careful when I watch it *keeps*

citrus: Episode 2
Yuri drama about a pair of stepsisters. I read some of the manga before the anime had many episodes out and it's not bad for what it is but drags out the angst too much and has a 100% incestuous side-couple. *drops*

Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma: Episode 1
A shonen fighting show, except with cooking. Wasn't grabbing me, and made eating food weirdly sexual, including some rape-y imagery *drops*
