wintersend-exchange CREATOR I LOVE YOU LET'S TALK DRAGON AGE WOMEN.
So the usual disclaimer applies: these are all guidelines, and if you get inspired to go off in a different direction that is totally cool as long as you (a)avoid my major squicks and (b)have fun with it.
Here's my general preferences, and for Dragon Age in particular: I have a huge soft spot for dwarves and to a lesser extent elves. My favourite female Dragon Age characters: Anora, Rica, Morrigan, Shianni, Leliana, Dagna, Velanna, Sigrun, Bethany, Isabela, Merrill, Cassandra, Josephine. And I like pretty much all the others except, like, Duchess Florianne. I have a preference for female casteless dwarf Wardens and female dwarf Inquisitors. I also find the lore of Thedas really interesting, and love cleverly worked out extrapolations of canon that try and answer some of the remaining questions.
Dagna:
Is she not the best? I would like to see pretty much anything about Dagna post DA:I discovering Weird Things about magic and the world of Thedas, as canon plausible as possible, and capturing that mix of adorable and slightly disturbing. I am especially interested in the hints of the Secret History Of Dwarves. Gen or shippy, I have no major ship preferences. I can see her being really interested in what Solas and Cole can teach her about Magic and the Fade, and just generally wanting to talk to all the mages (Dorian is probably my favourite in this game), but that's all a bit dude centric. Maybe her wanting to do Scientific Tests on Fiona haha. For art, something with her in Dwarven Ruins discovering Things would be great.
Velanna in Dragon Age 2:
My very specific request:
I would love to see an AU where Velanna instead of Anders melds with Justice, and then goes to Kirkwall and ends up trying to help the elves and an altered version of the DA2 plot ensues (which you could gesture at instead of showing completely. Or you could go off in a whole other direction!) I have mixed feelings about Anders and would have mixed feelings about Justice!Velanna, preferring a morally grey take which acknowledges the good and bad. I really like the idea of Velanna/Merril in this context (or just a focus on Velanna&Merril friendship), and have a soft spot for Velanna/Sigrun and Velanna/Nathaniel, but can see other pairings working if you get inspired. And...somehow...a moderately happy ending. Or just stop/draw something set before the end and let me pretend :)
A less specific request if that doesn't work for you: Something happy with Velanna achieving things and finding some measure of happiness after Awakening. Working with an elvish warden to help elves, maybe. She was so angry and sad :( Same pairing/gen feelings as above.
Bethany/Merrill:
They get together and are happy! Beyond that I am REALLY NOT VERY PICKY, so just throw in whatever of my preferences inspires you. Maybe they could hang out with Sigrun, if Bethany is a Warden. Or they could show up in Skyhold and magic nerd over Morrigan's mirror. Maybe they work together and somehow NOBODY DIES.
Cassandra/Leliana:
Getting together post Inquisition. Either Leliana is Divine or neither of them is. I like the idea of Casandra being MASSIVELY IN DENIAL about it and Leliana's gender not being her main concern, though I'm not opposed to a little "but I don't even like women". They have such a complex history togetherand also are really hot. Ficwise I like first time stories and can't see them together in the canon we see, so no pre existing/past relationship please, but am not opposed to, like, drunken makeouts that one time when the Divine was alive that they both agreed never to speak of again. Unless you want to do an AU where they get together and stay together earlier on.
In general I am always interested in sequels/remixes/illustrations etc of my art or fic. In particular, illustrations for my Josephine/Cassandra series The promise of more tomorrows would be SO GREAT, the only reason I didn't request any Josie/Cass is that I am too invested in my own backstory for them now haha. Also, although I tend to prefer art which tells a story I really like the DA:I "tarot card" style and something like that with a few symbolic/literal representations of the themes/events/relationships I'm interested in would be AMAZING.
