Here's my general list of things I like in fanworks.
All of this is pretty flexible, I'd rather you follow your heart than feel constrained by my tastes as long as you avoid my major squicks. Art or fic is fine.

HOW CUTE IS THIS FRIENDSHIP? So! Ficwise I'd love to see them getting together (artwise too but this can be harder to get across) I'm in a wheelchair myself and found the "wheelchairs as tragic prison" imagery a bit upsetting, so the two of them having fun while Korra's in the chair would be great (maybe getting ramps installed instead of relying on earthbenders to go up stairs) But stuff set once she gets better is fine too (or you could have her not getting better and coming to terms with that! But I tend to think she'll improve, Aang recovered from being DEAD)
Lin Bei Fong/Kya II
I must admit I'm not 100% sure what I want from Lin/Kya, I just think they'd be cute. I don't like the subtext that Lin is unhappy because she chose career over relationships, and Kya seems really happy (if a bit aimless) despite also being a single woman. So maybe they could be good for each other. I'd love to see how they related to each other and the gaang growing up and how that grows into a current relationship.
Something I'd like with both of these is a compassionate (or at least not mean spirited) view on the relevant ex boyfriends. I really like the idea of all the strained relationships turning into healthy if not super close friendships with everyone agreeing it's better this way.
Also they are all super cute so sexy makeouts would not go astray ;)
Dragon Age
Bethany Hawke/Merrill
Bethany and Merrill connecting over their similarities! They both tend to be written as "the girl" in relationships with other characters, so I'd really like to see them as equals, and BAMFS in their own understated ways.
Leliana and Morrigan
Morrigan/Female Warden
For both of these I love seeing Morrigan trying to reconcile female friendship (which she values) with sex/romance (which she sees as a shallow way to deal with men) I like Wardens who, like Leliana, are less amoral than Morrigan and come into conflict with her over that while acknowledging that Morrigan is right sometimes when she points out the hypocrisy and self serving logic of many "moral" people. And I love casteless dwarf wardens :)
Mass Effect
Female Shepard/Samantha Traynor, EDI/Samantha Traynor, Samantha Traynor/Tali'Zorah nar Rayya
These are all variations on my love of adorable women geeking out about science and flailing akwardly at each other. Also robots and aliens. I love EDI subtly trolling the awkward flailer, too. I am definitely not opposed to threesomes and moresomes involving any of them (EDI/Shepard never clicked for me, but I could for example enjoy an EDI/Sam/Shepard V) as long as it's all in character and involves lots of SCIENCE. Also I like Tali's immune issues as a sort of metaphor for disability and how it can just be an everyday part of life you learn to work around.
I am fine with Joker/EDI being (a)ignored (b)lovers-turned-friends (c) only ever friends.
Person of Interest
Root/Sam Shaw
So it's hard to say how the new season will affect my shipping of these two. But I love them recognising and mostly accepting each other's weirdness and working out their own unconventional relationship that works for them. Also the whole Root being connected to the machine thing is nicely weird :D

Chell/GLaDOS
DID I MENTION SCIENCE AND ROBOTS??
I like this best where Chell has lots of agency: either she comes back of her own volition for some reason and works things out with GlaDOS, or GlaDOS leaves the enrichment centre. Or AUs! The appeal of the pairing for me is that GlaDOS started out with control of Chell but by the end it was the other way around. No ignoring what an AWFUL AWFUL person GlaDOS was to her, but glossing it over a bit for the sake of shipping is acceptable :) Original body/humanoid robot/human are all good, but I have trouble getting my head around a potato as a romantic or sexual figure. (No judgment intended on any potato-lovers ;))
