The first time was ok, the second was annoying and after three it's really putting me off.

Namely: the main couple get together and everything is great...and then at the last minute circumstances pull them apart for TWO YEARS. And they only get together at the end of the last episode! Noooo this is not what I want from a happy romantic ending it makes me sad :(

So far: Coffee Prince (where they dated long distance during the "break" so I didn't mind so much), All About My Romance (where at least she pined) and Dal Ja's Spring, which I had a sense of forboding about so watched the last episode and she's happy with her job and her friends and if it's meant to be it will happen but she's TOTALLY FINE BEING SINGLE. Which...is actually pretty cool from a feminist perspective but is NOT what my shipper heart wanted. "My Girl" and "You're Beautiful" look ominous too based on what info I could find online. Damn cultural differences, I have been raised to expect a different cookie cutter cliche ending.

Which is not to say I'll stop watching K Dramas, but I won't watch them to fill my "happy romance" needs. And since my tolerance for dramas which BREAK MY HEART is much lower I won't be watching them very fast (and will be finishing Orphan Black first)

Oh well. I still have the ENTIRETY OF WESTERN ROMANCE FICTION that agrees with me on what makes for a satisfying romantic ending, I'll probably survive.
