Mass Effect fanfic: Joining

alias_sqbrI think a major inspiration for this story is all the "and then their minds merged and it was super sexy and awesome" scenes I've read in scifi and Star Trek fanfic etc, which always make me think "Would that actually be awesome?" The canon of the game is that yes, it's pretty amazing, so I couldn't poke at the situation too much. Maybe I should write awkward "Let's never do that again" Spock/Uhura or something. Or…not.
I still can't believe I wrote a nearly 4000 word sex scene (and an interspecies one at that. From a male POV!), even if it is a rather dry and meta-heavy one. And looking back at it, I kind of wish I'd added more meta :D
