A Supanova stole my spoons

Went to Supanova today, a big commercial sf/anime con.
So we bought the tickets online and walked the million miles past the super long buying tickets with cash line...only to join theeven longer and slower prepaid tickets line. We were there for FOREVER. I sat at the side moving along the various benches and garden bed edges to keep vaguely up with Cam but had to stand for the suprisingly long time between getting through the door and having our names checked off and hand stamped one meter later.
They didn't put the schedule online so we only got to see it when a member of staff walked along the line giving out bags with vouchers and the schedule. And it turns out Eliza Dushku and Dichen Lachman aren't until tomorrow and we were about to miss Charisma Carpenter. So we looked at the map to make sure we knew where to go once we got in.
On the schedule there was:
JB HiFi Seminar Room: Charisma Carpenter
Supanova Theatre: Some random anime
On the Map there was:
Lefthand Side (where the guest talks were last time we came): Theatre
Righthand Side: JB Hifi Theatre
I was thinking it was the righthand side, Cam the left, but then I noticed a "B" on the map on the lefthand side, and the legend said that was where the seminars were.
So once we finally got inside we went to the left...and hit a wall of people. After battling through them slowly for a hundred meters (ok maybe 50) we got to the lefthand side...where they were showing some anime. We had to battle and rush the 150m or so back through the absurd crowds to get to the righthand side. Where the seminar had just started and there were no chairs.
So by this time I felt pretty. Darn. Crap. We did find some chairs and she was cool to listen to but..yeah. After that I wandered about the stalls slowly, barely able to see the merchandise through the press of people and too grumpy and sore and tired to be in the mood for shopping or be very friendly to the people I recognised (sorry to any of you reading!)
I went outside (a drama since there was only one exit and there was a wrestling match and a very popular dalek in the way) and ate my lunch and read some of my book but it was cold. I went back in and saw Cam, after talking to him for a bit I realised just how crap I was feeling and decided that rather than waiting about for Summer Glau I would take a taxi home and rest. Which I did, and I fell asleep and thus feel awake enough to ramble out this post but may have messed up my sleep cycle for tonight, hmmph. (nb I would probably have felt crap even if things had been better organised and the con less absurdly crowded, but not quite this crap and might have had more of a chance to actually enjoy the con. I doubt I'll be up to tomorrow)
Oh, less grumpy thing: while waiting in line ANOTHER line formed going into a side entrance, consisting entirely of cosplaying fangirls as far as I could see. A cheerful American guy popped his head out and the girls squealed. "Must be one of the voice actors or something, maybe the guy from FMA?" I thought to myself (I'm more of a sub person and generally don't get too invested in VAs anyway). He said "I'm REALLY sorry about this guys, but at least you're out in this lovely sunshine. Anyway, some of you might not know this but I have a new cd coming out, it's all great club mixes, there's stuff from Full Metal Alchemist, and Ouran Host Club, and..." Since I was as it happens sitting right at the end of the line I asked one of the girls who he played in Ouran. He (Vic Mignogna) was Tanaka, the main male character, awesome. He's played a few other characters in stuff I've seen too. An hour or two later as I sat eating lunch I saw him talking to a new load of fangirls, just as cheerful and just as intent on shilling his cds :)
