An Archive of Our Own Open Beta Queue

For anyone who wants in on the Archive of Our Own and doesn't get updates, the open-ish Beta should start this weekend, to get an account you add your email address to a queue or ask a current account holder for an invite. Afaict we only get one and mine is spoken for, sorry!

See that thing about how they'll no longer automatically delete comments when you delete a chapter? That was me! As in, I accidentally fell afoul of it, I didn't fix it :)

(For anyone wondering, An Archive of Our Own is a fanfic archive)

Heeh, I was at the meeting (special guest ;)) where they talked about that fix--they were so focussed that I didn't dare interrupt to say, 'hey, various of those comments are mine!' I was totally cheering, though. The coders are awesome. :P

sophie I cannot find the "account creation" page on AO3 that it talks about in the FAQ

I found an account creation page on OTW but creating an account there does not require an invitation code and also doesn't let me log in to AO3.

Do you have to use the code in your 'My Home' section and have it send me an email? Or if you could point me towards the 'account creation' page on AO3 would be much appreciated ^^;
