Every now and then I feel like posting something health related but decided not to because it's TMI/dull/depressing, and I don't want this journal to be a chore to read. So I've decided to make an opt-in filter, that way only the people who want to have to read it and I won't feel so self conscious.

EDCIT: Not checking the poll any more, so if you want in comment to say so.

Since I know I always feel weird commenting on this sort of request, a poll:
[Poll #1460325]

Anything important or interesting would be left unlocked, this is just for random crap I feel the need to get off my chest or record for personal reference. It will likely sometimes include stuff like my last post which is of low quality due to illness but not actually about being sick. People wouldn't be expected to read or comment and I'd try and keep everything under an informative cut.

I am totally cool with people not wanting to be on it. Really! You can make it up to me by being extra supportive on my unlocked health posts :)

I wouldn't mind being on this filter at all, but as a caveat the reason I'm interested is because I feel I'm prone to denying the reality of CFS, and therefore I think the occasional blow by blow account of it might be edifying.

Promise I won't deny your experience in comments - or at least never what I'd consider a denial (mileage varies) - but I'm also comfortable with the idea you might not want me on the filter as well.

I confess that I tend to skip over the health stuff, but dip in occasionally and, I guess I like to know that it's there. So it's not so much "want to have to read it" as "don't mind if it's there."

Partly, it can be a useful having a spoon-barometer.

Highly amused.

Unrelated to the main content of the poll - but the second half had me in stitches - I could not resist clicking all the little clicky boxes!

And now to justify it. Lets see now...

Radiobuttons are a subtle control of survey responses. They are used to inhibit the ability of the indecisive to properly express their inability to select from the limited choices presented, and thus represent a limitation on their freedom of speech. And they look funny. (That should cover all four responses.)

What do you think?

Given the lack of a "sure, whatever" button, I guess I'll go with "yes".

although, er, I don't think I'm on your friends list as it stands.

I find people's perception of their health problems fascinating particularly as generally diverges strongly from the perception of health professionals(tm).

I just wanted to use as many ticky boxes as possible, sorry. They call to me like sirens.

OTOH I am hardly online so I don't feel oppressed by whatever people post cos I skim through it all in 1 big hit every month or so, and feel like, if a person can't kvetch about health stuff in their own journal, where can they?
