Ideas for t-shirts etc
Jul. 9th, 2009 01:43 pmAs a compromise between just drawing for fun (no profit!) and doing commissions (scary responsibility!): What sorts of things would you guys like to see on t-shirts etc and might plausibly buy if I designed? (keeping in mind my particular style and level of skill, which varies a bit but not dramatically)
If I'm inspired by an idea I'll put it on my Red Bubble account (or Cafe Press if that seems more suitable), and if you like it you can buy one.
Cafe Press offer a wide variety of products including stickers, clocks, and mugs(*), while Redbubble just does t-shirts, cards, and prints.
Noone's under any obligation, but it seems a good way to make designs that at least one person would like. (And may inspire some of the other t-shirt-making people on my flist too)
If you know you probably wouldn't buy one but just feel like putting the idea out there on principle that's ok too. Though no suing me if you get around to making your own version later :P (but I won't sue you either) And no fanart of anything under copyright!
(*)I keep meaning to design an interesting clock. I realise noone will buy it, but half of the point of this is the fun of the challenge :)
