lilysea. She thanked me but said she found the format (uneducational names like Bvid_26_large.avi organised in folders by how much I like them) meant it was like a packet of Berties Botts every flavour beans(*): a vid could be from any fandom, and turn out to be a humourous parody or a dark violent AU with incest manips or anything in between.
Yesterday I was making dvds of some stuff fortevriel and had a bunch of extra room so decided to fill it with vids (as is my wont) I decided she is probably not the sort to appreciate sudden unexpected depressing violence in her light entertainment, and that it was a good opportunity to make a folder of happy vids for future such occasions (when I just want to fill some space and the person hasn't asked for ALL my good vids).
I started chucking it together based on the feeling I got when I thought about the vid but decided I should double check the ones I couldn't remember clearly.
And, as lilysea would I'm sure agree, my lord I do like a lot of dark stuff. Even the "happy" vids I like tend to be "death and despair set to an ironically cheery tune" or "celebration of how awesome a character is through adversity *insert images of adversity*".
So tevriel, I did my best, but if some darkness got through I apologise but be aware that comparatively speaking it's still sweetness and light :) (Except the Supernatural vids folder, which is solid delicious angst)
