GIP: DW?

After making my last icon I remember angriest saying that that "DW" made him think of Dr Who, so I decided to google image search Dr Who and see if anything inspiring came up, and there was the perfect image. It's a woman! In pink! In the foreground! With the keys to the Tardis! That's the way fanfic fandom on DW sees itself right there, I would say :) (Fandom may disagree)

It's funny, because of when I entered Who fandom, that DW fans in my mind are overwhelmingly male, and often gay - although, oddly, not in Perth.

I am fascinated about how massively Doctor Who fandom has shifted with the new series.

Well also I get a very skewed sample, since I mostly engage with Dr Who fandom via female dominated fanfic multifandom places like crack_van.

Also afaict Dr Who fans do tend to identify with Rose more than Martha (and then get very defensive when people suggest this might be maybe a teensy bit influenced bit race)
