So I was enjoying Kaede's route, and then it kinda bugged me and I needed a break, and then...I didn't play any phone games for several months. So I'm going to post what I've got, and if I ever finish the route I'll post my final thoughts then.

Overall: I like the characters and the ship, but the romance had too much of the wrong sort of Tragic Pining for my tastes. The writers are definitely trying to write Kaede as bigender, but (to the extent I can judge Japanese gender stuff) fall into some heternormative pitfalls, including some Yuri For Bicurious Straight Girls issues.

I have entirely forgotten what chapter I got up to.

The MXTX Tavern: A discord for discussion of all the novels, as well as all the adaptations, for people over 18. So far people are pretty friendly and fun to chat to, and while still leaning young it's less overwhelmingly Actual Teens than the last MXTX-related discord I tried. The MDZS discussion (each book has it's own opt-in channels) has a lot of Untamed content but isn't just about The Untamed, which works for me.

MDZS Audiodrama | Drunk Lan Wangji Bathtub Scene Animation using the subtitled audio drama for the dialogue, of the scene where Lan Wangji and Wei Wuxian's building UST ends in drunken makeouts. Well drawn, romantic, hot, and slightly less overtly dubconny than the novel version.

Youtube then recced me this video of the scene where they actually declare their feelings but it's basically just the audio with subtitles. Which is a pity because I would LOVE to see a version with everyone else's YOU ARE DECLARING YOUR FEELINGS NOW?? faces. I'm not sure how well it works without the rest of the romantic context,
