This is my life :)

It'll change once I have more than one job on the go (I'm still on my training wheels), but so far have done the storyboard and half the pencils for the next page of ACOS all during forced breaks while data is processing.

I'd finish it off tonight but I've been busy with my NEW IMAC. I thought Cam was just being sweet when he smsed me to ask why I was so late and if I'd be home before he left for gaming, and then hung about while I made dinner, but really he was just waiting to see the look on my face when I finally got around to going into the study :) (Which is also sweet, but in a different way)

It's very shiny. I have no idea how to transfer my files accross etc, and am pretty sleepy, so will wait till later. I look forward to doing art on a nice big screen and a computer that doesn't chug.

Not sure how long I can be bothered doing this, but I'm writing this on my new pocket p.c. She's beautiful...

Yeah, that's enough of that.

EDIT (from Gandalf) I might as well mention our naming strategem.

  • Gandalf/Shadowfax (the computer and it's second hard-drive): My computer, a slightly old but for it's time powerful mac. Replaced Pippin, who was smaller and much more pathetic.
  • Arwen: Cam's shiny laptop, with her potable hard-drive Aragorn
  • Eowyn: The new ppc (becuase she's small and spunky but not as powerful as she thinks)
  • Saruman: The big windows box
  • Galdriel: The server (was previously Gimli, who was small but powerful and lived in the dark)
  • Feonor: The printer
  • Palantir (I think): the airport (I was quite proud of these last two becuase I'm a sad Tolkein fangirl)

At the risk of having you all do what Cam did and stare at me seriously and then ask "Alright, what have you done with the real Sophie?", I'm thinking of buying a pda, probably this one. But since I've never owned one before, and Cam just had a dodgy Palm ages ago, do any of you past-or-present pda purchasers have any advice?

It's mainly to hold text files with all the procedures for work (since there's a lot, many of which aren't written down anywhere and change constantly), lists of things to buy and do, contact details, bus and train timetables, and writing down my Brilliant Ideas as I have them. I'd have gone for this one but you can't organise your files into folders, and labelling them into categories just isn't the same. Also, no downloading things off the internet, where's the fun in that?

    And now, work.
