Last time I tagged the last five people in my tumblr notifications, so this time let's see who's in my dreamwidth inbox: fred_mouse winterbird got_quiet lilacsigil and alephnul. Absolutely no pressure though! Just if it seems fun! And everyone else is free to do it too.
Last song I listened to: Jealous by Sinead O'Connor, as recently posted. I just cut my hair SUPER short on a whim and every time I look in the mirror Sinead O'Connor songs start playing in my head. She carried it off a lot better than I do but I've always been curious to try, and now I have!
Favorite color: A mix of blues and purples. I can't pick any specific one!
Currently watching: Cam and I just finished Murderbot Season 1, which we both liked. Otherwise, I'm watching two anime: "Betrothed to My Sister's Ex" which thus far is very fluffy "mistreated noblewoman ends up engaged to seemingly scary but actually super sweet nobleman who adores her" wish fulfilment. The fact he's a brown foreigner who initially likes her for not being racist is a change! And the second season of "My Dress Up Darling", which I continue to enjoy despite it being incredibly male gazey het. THE PROTAG IS A TRANS LESBIAN TO ME, OK? EDIT: Based on the most recent episode make that a trans bisexual woman.
Last movie: The recent Emma adaptation, which was not to my tastes but was interesting. Managed to make me actually ship their version of Jane/Frank which is something!
Currently reading: Steering the Craft. In theory. I'LL GET BACK TO IT EVENTUALLY.
Coffee or tea: Tea as a drink. Coffee as a flavour. Neither in practice because my body is annoying about caffeine.
Sweet/savory/spicy: Definitely not spicy, even ignoring my sensitive stomach I only ever liked very mild spiciness as a flavour. I feel like I like sweet things a little more than average, maybe? But generally I enjoy both savoury and sweet in balance.
Relationship status: Same as it has been for a few years now: Married to Cam and dating Pia <3
Looking forward to: My upcoming colonoscopy being over /o\ Uh, other than that... hmm, brain blank. Looking up the titles reminded me those two anime have updated?
Current obsessions: I'm not as aggressively OBSESSED with Jack Jeanne as I was before, but nothing has really supplanted it. Still noodling along with game dev and 3d modelling.
Last Googled: something like "Can you eat marshmallows during colonoscopy prep". The answer is yes :D
Last thing you ate and really enjoyed: It's not very exciting, but I just figured out how to cook large baked potatoes simply in the air fryer and that was very satisfying. (Put them in a container with a little water and cook, turning, in 20 minute increments at 180C on the bake setting until done. If you're going to eat the skin add oil.)
Currently working on: Yesterday out of nowhere I suddenly figured out how to finish my Samurai Love Ballad: Party fic that has been stuck on hiatus since 2020?? So, that! Hopefully the eleven whole subscribers will be very happy, assuming I don't get stuck again before I'm done. I know the plot now, but that plot involves a detailed sex scene and I find those excruciating to write. I'm legit pondering if I should do a sex/makeout scene for the next Steering the Craft exercise just so I have more practice at them. I'll happily just use a fade to black if I can get away with it but sometimes it really undercuts the narrative!
