This is the rough walkthrough I wrote myself to romance Jasper and see the Historian scenes. Pursuing both of these goals simultaneously worked pretty well on a story and gameplay level. I'm not sure how clear this will be to anyone else, and I probably got some of these details wrong, but it's a bit fiddly figuring this all out from the spreadsheets etc so maybe someone else will find it useful.
There's some vague spoilers but nothing major if you've finished the game once already. You'll also need the other guides linked in the Masterlist for some stuff.
Some of this stuff just gives extra points, but afaict if you skip anything marked IMPORTANT you're probably screwed. I don't actually know what effect having extra Historians points has but it all felt in character to do anyway.
Backstory: The obvious choice is Jiyel Scholar but I found it easier to get the more balanced combo of traits I wanted with a Hise pirate who was just really into history.
Week 1 Historians:
Yvette: She asks your thoughts. "It will be fascinating to witness such important events"
Falon: Now that you've gotten his attention "Ask about Jiyel history"
Talk to Lyon.
Welcome Feast:
Avalie: witness history
Goal: Katiya's footsteps
Invites:
Lyon: thoughts -> forced, passed his tests. Needs: 50 int, ethical/compassionate/noble
Event: History. Need: Book smarts/Insight/50 history
Week 1 Jasper:
Brave enough to open door. Needs: 26 courage
Exploring the Castle: Your room (IMPORTANT)
Week 2 Historians:
Yvette: forgive me -> learn
Exploring the Castle: Small library. Needs: 50 Intelligence (IMPORTANT)
before horse ride: Exploring the Castle: forbidden wing Needs: min 125 quick wit (IMPORTANT)
Week 2 Jasper:
Tell him about the warning note (IMPORTANT)
Exploring the Castle: Your room (IMPORTANT)
Week 3 Historians:
Exploring the Castle: Parlor. Needs: 100 Book Smarts (IMPORTANT)
Week 3 Jasper:

Jasper, before Matchmaker: can't spit it out -> love to hear it (IMPORTANT)
Auto: min 75 insight, solved horse ride assassination attempt (IMPORTANT)
Week 4 Historians:
All acquit in trial
To get full acquittal have as many as possible of:
30 flora and fauna + emmet friendship or 60 flora and fauna
125 quick wit
60 courage, 50 warfare
450 persuasion
185 booksmart
200 likeability
65 insight
25 street smarts

Week 4 Jasper:

During this scene: Insist. Push the subject. Needs: Ethical
I apologise -> You will never manage that. Needs: Insight 50
Am I doomed to do nothing? -> the summit itself
Automatic points for ethical and compassionate
Do as well in the trial as possible. Do not take the bribe.
