Chapter 4:

Kotone wakes in the world of ash. Not!Misyr hugs her suffocatingly tight. It's Misyr's voice actor but the tone is off.

Not!Misyr: Is it really you? I've been waiting for you all this time. What should we talk about first? ^_^
Kotone: I've been looking forward to seeing you too but this is a little...painful.
Not!Misyr: Sorry! I'm still getting used to this body's strength.

Whoa I just looked at the walkthrough and there are two more chapters after this! I was wondering how they'd wrap up all the different plot threads.

Kotone worries that Not!Misyr pushed himself to be able to see her in this form in his own world. He narrows his eyes then says "I don't feel suffering", using the more humble/androgynous "boku" for "I" instead of Misyr's usual more confident/manly "ore", which makes Kotone pause (which made me relisten to the line a few times to figure out why haha)

Not!Misyr tells her this is The World Of End Times. All Kotone can see is desolate emptiness but he wants to give her a tour. He offers his hand and Kotone hesitates: hadn't he been worried that she might get hurt if he touched her? And wasn't he going to come back to Enchante?

Not!Misyr: I'm not worried about that. And you're here now so why bother? What's important is that you and I can touch :)

He grabs her hand but she's increasingly uncomfortable. Sure, he clearly likes HER but what about her CAFE?? Which is fair, the real Misyr loves Enchante.

Kotone: You almost...feel like a different person...
Not!Misyr: How can you say such a terrible thing. I am Misyr, the one you've been longing for! I have his body, his voice!

Kotone runs.

But all she sees is endless ash, and after a short time she doubles over in pain, gasping for breath and coughing up blood (they even drew a little Kotone-with-bloody-mouth sprite /o\)
The evil twin leans down to grab onto a shocked, bloody-mouthed Kotone, saying There, I caught you.

Kotone recognises his voice as the one that called her through the gate to the island. As she gasps in pain he joyfully talks about how long he's wanted to touch her.

Misyr: Get away from Kotone!

There is a flash of purple lightning and Kotone takes the chance to pull away. She collapses into the arms of the real Misyr, his face twisted in pain and anguish.

Evil twin: I won't let you go back to the human world. You shouldn't have any power left at all.
Misyr: You really do have the same face as me...Noone should be able to survive here but me. And you stole my power just by touching me. Who are you?
Evil twin: Hahahaha! I'm your only friend from the homeland.

Misyr stares for a moment, then tells Kotone to hold tight, and runs. But soon he too is coughing up blood. He tells her the atmosphere here is poisonous, so she should try not to talk, and wait until he gets them to the gate.

But then skeletal spartoi appear, and Misyr barely has the strength to take them on one by one.

Misyr: I figured they were a product of this world, but why?

He very sweetly holds tight to Kotone and tells her there's not long to the gate. She tries to tell him to escape without him but he laughs off the possibility.

They reach the plain of graves, and he says they all people who came here and died. Only he survived, though he was once a human too.

His memories are hazy. Tens of thousands ago, during Genesis, humans had advanced technology, fusing magic and science. They created Arks to travel to other worlds, to find a new place to live. Misyr doesn't know why they felt the need to do this, just that he was chosen to go on one. And that each ark had a gate connecting back to Earth.

But Misyr's Ark went off course, and landed here. By the end of the first day, half the crew were dead. Eventually everyone died and turned to dust. Misyr expected to die too, but instead his body twisted and became strange, perhaps evolving to survive: larger, no longer needing food or drink, and stealing magic power from the dead.

*turns sound on tv down so Misyr's screams for death don't disturb Cam and the cat*

It took hundreds of years for the torture to end, and hundreds more to learn how to use this body. He searched for the gate, now buried in ash, for thousands of years in vain.

His only company was the rare visitor from another world, victim of a random, short-lived wormhole: Fairies, demons, etc. But they would all turn to ash, and he couldn't even touch them. All he could do is listen to them talk, and then make them a grave. He lost hope, or even the ability to think clearly.

And then one day a wormhole opened, and stayed open. A small human girl looked at him with curiosity, and the smile of one who had never known despair. His heart filled with hate and envy, and he reached forward to kill her.

She ran away...and came back with a cup of coffee.

baby!Kotone: Your voice is really dry, so you must be thirsty. I did my best to make this!

He took the cup, and drank it, and couldn't stop his tears at finally feeling warmth from another living being, at the miracle of her and the cup surviving. As the wormhole closed, he told her "One day, I will go there myself to thank you once again.". He kept searching, and at last found the gate. He learned to suppress his power and endured the pain of reforming his body once again.

Misyr: Do you understand, Kotone? You saved me before I even step foot in Enchante. I thought about visiting you at home...but I wanted it to be at Enchante, where we first met. And this time...I'll be the one to save you.

They talk, weakly, about the coffee she'll make for him, but I'm not sure either of them entirely believe it.

Misyr: It's the gate! Kotone, we're going to be ok!
Me, knowing there's two and a bit chapters to go: Maybe...I'll save here for the night...

Naturally, Evil Twin shows up. He says he was with them the whole time, then asks Misyr if he remembers the name of the catastrophe that led him to going on the ark on the first place. But all of Misyr's suffering wore those memories away.

Evil twin: Then I'll tell you. The name of that catastrophe- by them, by you. The name given to me. The name of this world is...Noah :)

*blinks*

...huh!

Did he follow them onto Misyr's Ark, then? Is the reason human society isn't advanced any more because most of it got destroyed? Did some of Noah's influence cause the energy sucking on the other worlds, making Yggdrasil, Ignis, Kuu, and the Sprit Forge to some extent part of him??

Normally I try to summarise dialogue more but I have NO IDEA WHAT'S HAPPENING so you're getting a lot of full lines in all their confusing, wonkily-translated glory.

Noah: I answered your question. Isn't that enough? Kotone...give her to me. She's saved you multiple times. Haven't you had your fill?

Misyr makes a run for it but Noah calmly sucks what remains of his energy, causing Misyr to collapse.

Misyr: Send her back to her own world! If you don't, this world will kill her!
Noah: How sad. You still don't understand what kind of being I am. I have no intention of doing such a terrible thing to her. Misyr Rex, you no longer have that strange form, or that power of ruin. You're a powerless and worthless being. You should find a little happiness in the human world. That's...my parting gift to you :)

OH WOW. This is so much better than trying to kill them! Misyr even gets what he always wanted!

With a kind smile, Noah places his hand on Misyr's shoulder...and PUTS HIUS HAND INTO HIS CHEST?? THE SCREEN FILLS WITH BLOOD?? There is a crushing sound, and Misyr convulses before falling to the ground, the only movement the blood pumping out of his body and turning the grey ash black.

Noah, hand covered in blood: Thank you for everything. But I have Kotone now, I don't need you any more :)

He throws Misyr's lifeless body through the gate into Enchante then says "With that, it's just the two of us now. You'll save me, won't you, my beloved Kotone?"

Chapter 5:

Misyr wakes in the spare bed in Enchante and is understandably distressed. Weak and in pain, he drags himself down the stairs to head to the gate, but is stopped by Rindo, who offers to make him a coffee with a sad smile. To his horror, Misyr realises he doesn't have the strength to make Rindo let him go. He looks down at his hands and realises they're blunt and round. He's entirely human.

Misyr, whose face with it's thick dark eyeliner is unchanged, but he's now got kinda mullet-y spiky lavender grey hair and is wearing a black hoodie over a grey jumper.

I don't like his new hair :(

Rindo says Misyr showed up naked and covered in blood two days ago. Apparently Misyr was always naked under clothes horns/etc made of magic lol. And now all his magic is gone.

Misyr is still determined to save Kotone, even if it kills him, but Rindo slams him against wall and punches him.
Rindo: How are you going to save her like this? You who are weaker than me! Me! Believe in us! Don't make us lose a friend!

Misyr laughs weakly, and sadly accepts that he's useless to Kotone alone. So instead he explains what happened to him, and gives Rindo a chance to do the same.

When Kotone went missing, it was clear she'd gone through the gate. Canus and Ignis went back to their worlds on the off chance they could find something there...and then there was a loud noise the world over and every gate and wormhole suddenly switched to linking to Noah's world. New fissures opened and spartoi skeletons came out and attacked people, causing massive chaos. It's impossible to contact any other worlds.

Misyr takes WAY too long to go "Wait what about Il?" but I guess he can be forgiven for being distracted.

AH DAMMIT sounds like Solitus faked being Il again to say he was going to the Heavenly world....WAIT NO. RINDO LIED. THEY KNOW IL WAS ABDUCTED BUT DON'T WANT MISYR TO WORRY??

Aw the last thing Il said before being abducted, as recorded my Mikado's devices, was "Kotone and Misyr are more important than me" ;_;

Oh god Asmodeus is working for the GPM now?? I see his logic for focussing on "his Bride" but he's not exactly an unbiased party. Uurgh we're clearly supposed to find him kind of endearingly terrible but I DO NOT.

Meanwhile Il is being tortured by God to break his spirit D:

Solitus: O God...If we burden the Apostle of Judgment any further it may impair his basic functions.
God: Affirmative. I have decided to suspend his divine punishment.
Il, weakly: I...reject you...

A fissure swallows part of the Heavenly World Caelm, and another opens to show the events on Noah's world at the end of Chapter 4.

Il: Kotone was on that world...because I was captured and left her side D:
God: The situation is much more grave than I thought. Noah...to think I would hear that name again after tens of thousands of years.

God's records tell of the Catastrophe of Noah, named after "a certain organisation". Not just Earth but multiple worlds were suffering "spatial collapse", being eroded by what became known as The World of End Times. After this catastrophe, with all the arks gone to try and find new unaffected worlds, only 8% of the world's population remained, leading to the human society we have now on Earth.

Huhhhh and all non humans are just humans who evolved to fit their new world?? That...I mean, did Spirit Beasts still exist as in the previously explained history of Caelm? Are the stories of human arrival on Bestia and Medio mis-remembered history or was there some Magical Cross-breeding with an existing population?

What about the humans vs demons conflict on the demon world? Is it just a misunderstanding between two types of human?

(Note: None of these questions are answered. Ah well)

God says this has all come to a head because of his experiments to create the Salvation wormhole to Earth shook the boundaries of space-time, causing more wormholes in all worlds, and letting Noah piggy back to create his own wormholes to Earth to find Kotone. Which then caused the wormholes from Bestia to Enchante that the minotaurs used.

God: It seems sending the girl to the Gate was a poor move in retrospect.
Il: YOU'RE THE REASON MISYR AND KOTONE ARE SUFFERING D:<

Il flashes back to Misyr introducing himself when they met, and asking Souan if he could take care of Il. Il cries out in anger and breaks free of his restraints, only to collapse.

God: How unsightly. Solitus, confine him in the nourishing tank. To force reconnection during the next divine punishment, I shall adjust him to increase his sense of pain.

ILLLLLLLLLL

Epologi saw all this and wonders wtf to do about it.

Back at the GPM, Mikado is all "HMM SO YOU BECAME HUMAN AGAIN HOW INTERESTING" while Asmodeus is all "Lol serves you right for being mean to me and stealing my identity" so Kariya kicks him.

Side note: I came up with the headcanon that the reason Mikado wears a lab coat that's too big for him is that it belonged to Shizuku.

Mikado says that since the World of End Times is actually a single non-human, it should be possible to suppress the deadly effect by injecting the Suppressio drug. But even so, only Misyr, with his strange resistance to Noah, has any chance.

Rindo: I'll see you when you return with our cute cafe owner. Please don't get yourself killed, or I won't have anyone to joke with.
Misyr: Haha, I can't do Demon King jokes any more so I'm not sure how I'll parry you anyway. This situation is pretty desperate, and I'm just a powerless human with no escape plan...ah, I'll just wing it, I'm sure it will be fine ;)

Meanwhile:

Kotone: I want to go home to Enchante :(
Noah: If I give you Enchante, will you always be with me?

Meanwhile:

The ash forms itself into Noah's grey form.

Noah: Why are you here? I gave you that body as a gift :/
Misyr: First: Is Kotone alive?
Noah: She is alive. That is, with this world. Not with me itself. She is being assimilated.

I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHAT THIS MEANS BUT I AM PRETTY SUIRE IT'S NOT GOOD

Noah: She's lost her unnecessary human form ^_^ All that remains is her consciousness. Once she is assimilated she and I will be as one :D
Misyr: As your enemy I'll be transparent: Being saved or not doesn't matter. I'm just like you, I returned to this world wanting nothing but her.
Noah: I see. You can't do anything though. So I won't try to stop you.

Noah's body turns to ash and scatters. But his body is also the world, watching. Misyr can do nothing but walk through hell.

Meanwhile...Kotone can feel her body crumbling slowly to dust each time Noah talks to her. It doesn't hurt, but that only makes it more terrifying.

Noah: I don't see what different between me and Misyr. I used to be human too.
Kotone: You did?
Noah: You want to hear about me?? :D :D Come into the world of my memory, that will soon be the world of your memory too.

It's a couple of decades before Misyr's time.
Sepia image of columns, floating rocks, and a mural like radiant sun above an altar on top of stone steps. This place called an Altar was somewhat like a head temple, consolidating the technology of Genesis.

Research into other worlds has just begun, and the ordinary human Noah is honoured to be invited to take part. Then, as he's admiring a wormhole, he is shoved in as a test subject, by smugly laughing researchers.

He arrived into nothingness, and his body stretched to fill the empty space. The ash is his remains; the air, his breath. He desperately wanted to return home to his family, but when he reached towards Earth his power was overwhelming and destroyed everything it touched. So he stopped reaching out, but humans still sent the arks, and one of them brought Misyr.

Misyr couldn't understand Noah, so he watched in silence, still glad to no longer be alone.

Until, after thousands of years, Misyr met Kotone, and then found the gate. Noah felt betrayed and abandoned.

Noah: Perhaps if I was a more beautiful planet I might gave been saved.... But if Misyr can be saved, I can be saved too. Right, Kotone?

He caresses her cheek and she can't move. He explains that he decided that to be saved like Misyr, he had to become Misyr, and made himself a body modelled off Misyr's.

Noah: And now I can touch you. So perhaps his betrayal wasn't all bad. I think this feeling I have for you is what they call love. I like you. What about you?
Kotone, unable to speak: .... (I'm not sure the word for that is love. Also, I do have someone I want to be with, and it's not you...)
Noah: Ah, you can no longer speak. It's ok, we don't require words :) Now, Kotone, save me.

And then...the person called Kotone Awaki dies.

(Is she going to become the planet and save Misyr that way? Probably not, but she would make a GREAT planet. For that matter, are ALL the worlds made of people?)

Misyr distracts himself from the pain by remembering when he first went to Enchante. He's a little jealous that Canus got to be the first non-human visitor. The wind harasses him: Noah doesn't like it when Misyr talks about Enchante. Misyr pushes through the storm...and then collapses, coughing up blood. The Suppressio has worn off. He feels himself dying, like he did all those thousands of years ago.

He screams and the screen fills with page after page of KILL ME

He can't bring himself to move. But collapsed, bleeding onto the ash, he sees a single solid object: the cup he got from Kotone all those years ago, still somehow intact. He thinks about how has shrouded himself in lies, and never properly thanked her, or told her how he feels.

He forces himself to his feet...and is suddenly facing an army of skeletons, then an ashy version of his old form. Just as he wonders if he, too, will soon turn to ash...Misyr feels himself pulled into the air...

BY IL :D Who pouts about how worried Misyr is making everyone, then heals him. Canus and Ignis show up and destroy all the skeletons!

Ignis: Heh. You're covered in blood and look like shit. Pretty cool.

On a hunch, Misyr decides to go to the place where he met Kotone the first time, since it would be important to Noah too, beneath the graves he made for everyone who died on this world. He apologises to them all, but he has to do this for the woman who is most important to him in all the world.

Chapter 6:

Flashback. Ignis is helping a bunch of weaker beasts escape one of the many fissures that have been appearing on Bestia.

Ignis: The more violent beasts like Minotaurs refused to follow me, I doubt there'll be many survivors :(
Dromi: WTF AFTER ALL MY PLANNING SOME SHITTY WORLD SWALLOWS THEM WITHOUT LEAVING A DROP OF BLOOD?? THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO BE EATEN BY MY BRO VALAR!!
Ignis: ...wait what >:(

Ignis thumps Dromi for his dumbass murderous plan, then says he's not a fan of being a cannibal and potential world eater, but doesn't have to time to angst about it.

The bunnygirl says Ignis should stop mopping up the mess here and go through a fissure and fix the problem at it's source. The smaller beasts can handle things here. Ah, sounds like everyone here saw the events at the end of Chapter 4 through a fissure too.

Ignis realises these little beasts he's always thought of as needing protection have a stronger look in their eyes than any savage demon beast.

Ignis: Ok, I'll leave it to you. Now, Dromi: You say you want to break the rules of this world. But hasn't that already happened, now everyone is banding together to deal with these fissures?
Dromi: But bro...I looked up to you, and wanted you to beat this world :(
Ignis: Well, I'm gonna go beat the world that beat Bestia!
Dromi: ...yeah! Tell them your little bro Dromi sent you :)

...ok, sure. Dromi's good now. Moving on to Medio!

Canus is battling spartoi and rescuing fairies from fissures, wishing he could be helping Misyr and Kotone. But then Vennia and Titania tell him he is temporarily dismissed: the more fairies have been evacuated, and Yggdrasil has started attacking the spartoi itself with it's Soul Eaters (Vennia is spitefully delighted). Titania orders him to save her friend Kotone.

Now, to Caelm!

Solitus stares quietly at Il in his nourishing tank. His physical wounds have almost healed, but the fundamental malfunction that caused him to defy God remains.

Solitus: What kind of thinking could result in such an output?
God: Prepare the Apostle of Judgement. Since time is of the essence, I shall overwrite his personality with my own.
Solitus: *smashes the nourishing tank and escapes with Il*

Il: Solitus...why?
Solitus: What I was trying to reclaim, no matter the means, for thousands of yours....the one who lived with me as dual wings, was you!! To be reduced to a God like that...I could never accept it!

Aw meanwhile Epologi is trying to persuade the other fallen angels to help him rescue Il. And then his eyes meet with Solitus, who is carrying Il with an expression of panic no true angel would wear.

Solitus: O fallen angels! I offer a contract upon my soul! I swear to spare your lives if you do whatever it takes to protect my friend, Il Fado de Rie!
Il: That is...unnecessary. I have somewhere I must go. I will prove the worth of that beautiful emotion...I won't let that world take it away! And I will never again lose the people I cherish!
Epilogi: If he is truly your friend...you should be proud of his choice.
Solitus: Then as long as you return as yourself, that is enough.

Aww.

And now we're back on Noah's World!

Il reassures them he won't run out magic here: he got Epologi and Solitus to set up a stable wormhole near a source of lots of energy: God :D :D :D

God: ???? D:<
Il, through the wormhole: I worked with Solitus to assemble the Salvation wormhole you sought, and we gifted it to you ^_^ Now, O arrogant God, will your body be destroyed? Or will we stop the erosion of this world first? If you wish to avoid the former, you should send as much spirit energy as you can!

BEST. BOY.

Canus says he'll work extra to make up for Rindo being absent. A lot of the talk of "friendship"/"regulars" etc has been the Japanese term 'nakama' which means something like comrades/brothers-in-arms.

The three combine their forces to make a BIGASS BLAST. Misyr jumps into the resulting hole, passing into Noah's body, experiencing Noah's memories as he falls.

Kotone has been watching all this, as the land and air, unable to speak. She watches Misyr dying, earlier on, and wishes only for him to return safe to the human world. It's too late for her.

Noah: This is the solitude I tasted. Now that you've merged with this world, you can understand the pain. But only I can sense you now. Only I can touch you. So look at me, Kotone. I can make Enchante for you...him, too. Misyr, Canus, Il, Ignis, Rindo. We can live here for eternity.

He makes a grey Enchante of dust and smiles at her kindly.

Kotone can't speak. She isn't sure if she's even Kotone any more. But the one thing she knows is that she's no longer human. She can never return to Enchante. She can never make coffee for the person she cares about. She feels like it would be better to just let her consciousness fade away entirely.

Noah reaches for her, wanting them to become even closer, when she senses an impact in her body. The bell to Enchante rings.

Misyr, weakly, but with good cheer: Wow, what a recreation. Noah, were you ever an architect?

He stumbles through the shop, using chairs and tables to keep himself upright.

Misyr: Kotone...don't tell me you already merged with Noah :(
Kotone, silently reaching for him to no effect: :(
Noah: There's no point. Misyr can never reach you.

Kotone isn't sure if Noah is talking to Kotone, or himself. She watches with despair as Misyr coughs up blood, and collapses. But then he drags himself painfully to his usual chair.

Misyr: I haven't had...your coffee in a while. Right now...I could use it.

Noah watches with confusion, as if he'd expected Misyr to shout or cry. But instead he smiles and says "I'm here. I've come to see you, Kotone. To drink...the best coffee."

Kotone feels her ashen heart begin to throb. She thinks "That's right. He's a customer at Encnhante. Even if he's human, and I'm not human. That changes nothing. I should greet him with a smile."

Kotone: Welcome.
Misyr: I knew you were here, Kotone. My cherished, beloved owner.
Misyr closes his eyes happily as a translucent floating Kotone puts her hands on his face and puts her forehead to his.

Misyr: I won't shroud myself in lies any more. At first, I only wanted to watch over you, and make you happy, to repay you for saving me. But then...it wasn't enough, and my parental feelings changed to something else. I couldn't help it. Despite knowing all the terrible things about me, you still said you'd wait for me, with a smile. Kotone...I love you.

"Likely Noah feels the same as me right now. To touch him. Yearning for his warmth so much it's sad. Then I too...should do the same thing. If you want to touch, create a hand. If you want to smile, create a face. If you want to talk..."

Kotone: ...Misyr. I love you too! Welcome, my dearest customer.
Misyr: Thank you, my dearest owner :)

Noah: Why? When it was me...you never noticed...
Misyr: All I can do is apologise. I wish I had noticed you earlier, and become your friend.
Noah: Friend... So you would have been saved from your despair?
Misyr: No. Me and you...I wanted to have a relationship as equals.
Noah: Friend...I never thought of it. All I wanted was for you to exist, even if my words never reached you. I had given up on everything else.
Misyr: We're both alive, aren't we? We can talk like this. Friends, or whatever else. We can be whatever we like. We did become rivals...but once we settle that, we can be simple friends from the same home town.
Noah: ;_;

Kotone approaches Noah, and Misyr says Noah has the right to confess his feelings, and receive a reply.

Noah fell for her when he first saw her? When she was FOUR?? Kotone apologises and says she already likes someone body else.

Noah: My love was one of need, and thus baseless. I should have gotten to know you, and talked to you. Thank you for giving me a normal rejection, as a human being.

He says he can no longer control his body encroaching on other worlds with thousands of years of hunger and thirst.

Noah: Misyr. Yearning for you, I destroyed many things. So this request might be presumptuous. But as a friend, my first and last request... is for you to kill me.

Misyr walks behind the counter and carefully picks up two cups made of ash, handing on to Noah.
Misyr holds up a grey cup to a surprised Noah and says I can't kill a friend. So instead...I'll say I'm seeing you off.

Noah: You are too kind. Is it really alright, after I made her non-human?
Misyr: To be honest, I have some thoughts on it...but don't all friendships have these quarrels?
Noah: ...truly, I'm no match for you :)

Their cups gently meet. Noah thanks Misyr, and then quietly scatters into a small flurry of ash. As Misyr whispers "Thank you for watching over me, my only friend from my homeland" the false Enchante begins to collapse.

Kotone: Misyr, you need to go.
Misyr, caressing her vague cheek: If you're going to end with this world, then...I'll meet my end too. Tell me your feelings as a woman talking to her lover.
Kotone: Then...I want you stay with me, as close as you can!

He kisses her, and the world collapses to nothingness.

(Wait if they both expected her to die when he killed Noah maybe Kotone should have had a say??)

Credits

Souan: *sigh*
Me: WTF

Oh it's a flashback. Souan says Misyr has a way to go in learning to make coffee, but has the important part right: wanting his coffee to be delicious. He'd make a good barista.

Souan: Do you have someone in mind to drink it?
Misyr: Uh...

Yeah, you probably shouldn't mention you're obsessed with his 5 year old granddaughter.

Kariya's friend squees about how his favourite idol came out as non-human and now he's going to support her even more. Kariya smiles, and finally tells his friend he's a non-human too.

After all the fissures and spartoi attacks etc, the governments of Earth couldn't hide the existence of non-humans and other worlds any more.

On Medio, Vennia has persuaded Canus and Titania that since Yggdrasil hasn't regenerated from the damage it's the right time to kill it. But he will settle his heart at Enchante before the decisive battle.

On Bestia, Ignis is coping with his self loathing by organising a memorial for everyone he killed and...ate. Just as he's telling Kororo he may have found his parents, Dromi comes excitedly saying that everyone is DOWN for Ignis's plan to make Bestia a world not of bloodshed, but of COMPETITIVE FIGHTING.

On Caelm, God is Dead. Which wasn't the plan, but noone's too upset.
Solitus: Il, as our future leader, there is much you must- where are you going?
Il: Please, let me go. There are so many new otome games I haven't had a chance to play ;_; And I want to buy merch and eat icecream! So I'm going to be living a life of leisure at Enchante for a while ^_^

At the GPM, the chaos meant Rindo had a chance to notice and deal with the Evil Second Division. Mikado is distracted from his murderous rage by the inspiration of knowing Misyr changed from non-human to human, and is going to work harder to cure Shizuku.

And at Enchante...

Misyr, surrounded by trees: Today's world is quite impressive too. Ah, you've disappeared again...then I'll just find you!

Kotone was focussed on brewing coffee and forgot to keep herself solid. But she comes back to herself when Misyr hugs and kisses her, even though she can still only vaguely feel touch.

SHE DID IT. SHE BECAME A GODDAMN PLANET. With his dying breath, Noah told her she has the power to shape this newly blank world to whatever she wants it to be, and asked her to have fun with his friend.

So Kotone recreated the world Misyr made for her tea-party all those months ago, and made herself a body to run Enchante, with Misyr as co-owner.

Misyr was sick for a long time when they returned. And now, things he can't do, she does for him, and vice versa. Together, they welcome guests to the cafe.

Kotone worries that when Misyr eventually dies, she may go mad like Noah and become a harmful world.

Misyr: Whether by reincarnation, as a ghost, or in some strange form...I promise I'll ring the doorbell at this shop, and drink your coffee. Would that not be enough?
Kotone: I'm long accustomed to waiting for your visit :)
Misyr: Are you holding that time I disappeared against me?
Kotone: Just a little ;) But I can wait, because I love you.
Misyr: I give my whole life as a human to you. Even after I die...even if it's millions of years, I'll continue my journey to find you. And when I do, I want you to greet me with the same smile. My beloved owner.
Kotone: Even after millions of years...I'll always be waiting, my beloved customer.

The bell rings. Kotone and Misyr, arm in arm, turn with a smile and say "Welcome to Cafe Enchante".

THE END

That was lovely! Overall I liked this game a lot.

I finally finished this and also like it a lot!

Side note: I came up with the headcanon that the reason Mikado wears a lab coat that's too big for him is that it belonged to Shizuku.

OH. That made me sad.

Noah fell for her when he first saw her? When she was FOUR?? Kotone apologises and says she already likes someone body else.

...I was so caught up in the drama I didn't notice this, you're RIGHT. I mean...I guess his idea of romance is moping together for eternity while being spiritual roommates?

Yeah, you probably shouldn't mention you're obsessed with his 5 year old granddaughter.

xDDD

I don't like his new hair :(

Haha, I am a little impressed by how this game commits to having its angsty transformations make the characters less hot.

His face looks weird to me without horns! And I miss all the curls. It feels like they really designed his face for "lots of hair and horn stuff going on".

Oooh! I think black hair would have looked great with his human outfit. :D And agreed, the old purple was such a pretty color!

I like the ...lilac? hair in theory, but in practice, hmm. And it has a weird sheen.

Aww, I'm glad you liked my time travel theory! I liked it too and really thought I was onto something right up until the fissure opened. :P I think the fact that it was only a two-minute meeting helped, and that his feelings did not feel paternal to me but just "giant debt to repay".

Also, huh, Misyr makes so much more sense in hindsight. He probably learned his entire social repertoire from manga and video games.
