The game marketed this as ~sexy, with the tagline "Your Willful Seduction?!", but it's actually about the couples not having sex for a variety of reasons, and the dudes being really sweet and understanding about it. Which I really enjoyed, but I bet some people feel ripped off haha.

Another kid's dad puts Sasuke down for being a violent orphan and Yukimura calms everyone down with apologies...then goes to beat the pants off the dad at the parent tug-of-war.

And so of course they win.
That night, Yukimura blushingly invites MC to his chambers, and she says yes. They end up seeing each other topless for contrived reasons and he freaks out.

And hey, the fuzziness of the canon characterisations and general details make me worry less about being OOC in my fic.
Aww he's so sad the next day at training that he ends up injured. MC rushes to his side and apologies for getting nervous, and says she's ready now for him to do whatever he wants.
But then they hear the two maids in the next room gossiping about all the pain and blood of their first time. MC and Yukimura stare at each other in shock, neither having heard that that was a thing. And then Yukimura tells her to leave, in despair, saying he can't deal with his filthy thoughts if she's there.
I really dislike the common romance trope that men Can't Stop Themselves past a certain level of turned on, but I guess if we must, then at least he's trying to guarantee her consent as much as he can.
MC leaves, heartbroken, and wonders if the bonds of love really have to be forged in such pain. She wishes for her mother, aw.
The next day he says he SPENT ALL NIGHT UNDER A WATERFALL to PURGE HIS WICKED THOUGHTS.

Misuhide introduces himself formally to MC's family, and says he would happily marry her but she doesn't seem ready yet. Inuchiyo gets pissy and drunk. And then the next morning Mitsuhide comes to help clean up the restaurant after the drunken "Welcome back MC, also congrats on the rich boyfriend" party.
Hideyoshi and Inuchiyo: We'll help too!
Mitsunari: Don't drag me into this.

Ha, everyone but Mitsunari makes a very good waiter, reminds me of the courtesan AU.
Mitsuhide offers financial advice to MC's mother, and MC imagine how nice it would be to run the restaurant with him. But she could never ask him to leave his work with Nobunaga.
Women want the cute, polite Mitsuhide to serve them and MC thinks "Other women might be jealous, but I am filled with pride. He is wonderful." I can totally see Mitsuhide and MC being open to poly.
Magistrate: MC! You have come back for to marry me!
MC: There is only one man I would ever be the bride of.

Rei and Inuchiyo's weirdly hot childhood doctor Minase Douzan shows up.

Ah, here he is, as Manase Dōsan, a famous doctor. I knew he was too hot to be an OC.
Anyway, he fixes MC's mother with the magic of chiropractory and says the other guy was a quack. When MC's mother finds out MC plans to stay anyway she gets very shouty about not throwing away happiness.
Mitsuhide says he will support whatever decision she makes, but asks her to give him a family of his own. Even if they're not married, he wants to share everything with her. She says yes.
Yahiko: So is Lord Mitsuhide my big brother now o.O
Mitsuhide: Quite so. If there is anything you need, just ask.
And then that night he assumes "we are basically married" means "we will have sex", MC hadn't thought about that and is a bit nervous, but decides she wants to accept all of him.
Epilogue:
Aww so MC gets nervous and Mistsuhide immediately stops. She is consumed by guilt: how can she want to marry him yet be reluctant to have sex?
MC: I'm so sorry :(
Mitsuhide: You have nothing to apologise for. I am just a little hungry :)
As the two eat and drink together MC thinks about how easily he reads people's moods and diffuses tension.
Mitsuhide POV! He's thinking a lot of soppy thoughts about MC but also "I wonder if she would think less of me if I told her I wish I could bind the two of us together...with manacles of steel, if I must..."
Ha under his understanding facade he kept thinking of ways of making her stay. And then she down her sake in one gulp, says she wants to form a family with him, and blushingly asks him to stay with her that night.
He is into it, charmed by her shyness but determined to be calm and gentle despite his own nerves and desire. There's more talk of "delicate hands" and "taking her" than I am personally into but so it goes.
Alas, just as they're both getting into it, Inichiyo drunkenly starts making a fuss about wanting to see everyone to say goodbye. Mitsuhide is initially determined to ignore him, to MC's surprise, but eventually they both reluctantly admit they have to go out and deal with him. But they go out hand in hand, joined as one.

After MC leaves, Saizo goes to pick up a dropped doll, but then stops, and it as if he can still see the flecks of blood on his hands.
MC sprains her ankle and Saizo carries them both, MC falls asleep thinking about how she's happy as long as Saizo is with her, but dreams of being crushed by a giant baby.
MC wakes in Saizo's room, with Hime asleep in his arms, clutching to his sleeve. She thinks about how babies and animals always seem to be more drawn to him than Yukimura.
MC: I guess it's true what they say about animals and children being drawn to nice people.
Me and Saizo: What about Yukimura then??
MC: Oh, true.
Then Saizo denies he's a nice person despite her insistence and gets a little blushy.
He grumbles about what a burden children are as Hime sleeps between them. MC talks about happy moment with her parents as a child, then worries he might find this upsetting. But he asks her with a sad smile to tell him, to teach him what it was like.
Saizo: I thought such things were beyond me from the day I was born. But when I'm here with you...you allow me to think that maybe...there's more to me than that.
The next morning Kiyohiro arrives saying the baby needs to go to it's new family.
Saizo: You gave us another night, thank you for that.
Kiyohiro: Has someone become attached, Master Kirigakure?
Saizo: Please. Who do you think I am?
"Saizo chuckles lightly...though he doesn't know if Kiyohiro realises how much of that laughter is at himself."

But while Radiance!MC may be shy about articulating her desires, she is consistently super ready for sex in all the routes I've played, which includes these three dudes. But I can understand the writers wanting to play around with something different after writing the ten millionth AU with the same dynamics.
When I thought this was a porny event I had no interest in Nobunaga's story but now I'm curious to know if it had the same dynamic, since he's not generally great about people saying no to him. (The other guy I skipped was Kojuro, but he'd obviously be nice about it)

Awww, he's super into her wearing one of his kimonos but just puts on a smile and says women have it tough before giving her a massage to help with her cramps.

Aww, he says that all that matters is the feeling and demonstrates by coming up with one about how much he loves her, and she responds shyly in kind. ADORABLE.
Misuhide introduces himself formally to MC's family, and says he would happily marry her but she doesn't seem ready yet. Inuchiyo gets pissy and drunk. And then the next morning Mitsuhide comes to help clean up the restaurant after the drunken "Welcome back MC, also congrats on the rich boyfriend" party.
Hideyoshi and Inuchiyo: We'll help too!
Mitsunari: Don't drag me into this.

Ah, here he is, as Manase Dōsan, a famous doctor. I knew he was too hot to be an OC.
Anyway, he fixes MC's mother with the magic of chiropractory and says the other guy was a quack. When MC's mother finds out MC plans to stay anyway she gets very shouty about not throwing away happiness.
Mitsuhide says he will support whatever decision she makes, but asks her to give him a family of his own. Even if they're not married, he wants to share everything with her. She says yes.
Yahiko: So is Lord Mitsuhide my big brother now o.O
Mitsuhide: Quite so. If there is anything you need, just ask.
And then that night he assumes "we are basically married" means "we will have sex", MC hadn't thought about that and is a bit nervous, but decides she wants to accept all of him.
Epilogue:
Aww so MC gets nervous and Mistsuhide immediately stops. She is consumed by guilt: how can she want to marry him yet be reluctant to have sex?
MC: I'm so sorry :(
Mitsuhide: You have nothing to apologise for. I am just a little hungry :)
As the two eat and drink together MC thinks about how easily he reads people's moods and diffuses tension.
Mitsuhide POV! He's thinking a lot of soppy thoughts about MC but also "I wonder if she would think less of me if I told her I wish I could bind the two of us together...with manacles of steel, if I must..."
Ha under his understanding facade he kept thinking of ways of making her stay. And then she down her sake in one gulp, says she wants to form a family with him, and blushingly asks him to stay with her that night.
He is into it, charmed by her shyness but determined to be calm and gentle despite his own nerves and desire. There's more talk of "delicate hands" and "taking her" than I am personally into but so it goes.
Alas, just as they're both getting into it, Inichiyo drunkenly starts making a fuss about wanting to see everyone to say goodbye. Mitsuhide is initially determined to ignore him, to MC's surprise, but eventually they both reluctantly admit they have to go out and deal with him. But they go out hand in hand, joined as one.
...this event is all about people NOT having sex, isn't it? Ha! Transgressions against lust, more like. Voltage, you tease.

Saizo: No ninja alive would conceive without planning for it.
Hime grabs Saizo's fingers, he pries her off and dangles her by the collar in front of Kiyohiro.
Saizo: There you go :)

Kiyohiro's more overtly reluctant to babysit than he was to murder Saizo lol.
The next day MC finds an exhausted Kiyohiro with a crying Hime, and she shows him how to rock a baby to sleep.
Kiyohiro: Thank you. We generally...leave children to themselves in Iga.

Oh good, MC has experience babysitting, she's not just working off Woman's Instinct. Also Yukimura clearly LOVES babies, it's adorable.
Saizo is Not Happy to see her tending Hime at dinner. MC gets annoyed and asks why, but instead of explaining himself, he just leaves.
The next day Yaukimura scolds Sasuke for going into MC's chambers unannounced to play with Hime, but was apparently loitering outside all night. But MC knows they want to cheer her up after her fight with Saizo.
Saizo claims to dislike babies but MC assumes he just doesn't want to get attached, and could stand to show the bare minimum of affection. And I agree!
Haha Yukimura doesn't want to see a "future woman" naked. Then he tries to earnestly explain to Hime why sucking on paperweights is bad.
MC: Look Saizo, isn't Hime cute when she's asleep?
Saizo: Hmm. You're cuter.
MC why are you determined to make Saizo like Hime. Is it because you want kids and want Saizo to want them too? I'd say "then communicate that to Saizo" but in her defence...Saizo and clear honest communication don't always go hand in hand.
Saizo is cheerfully wiping blood off his hands after doing some murder with Kiyohiro, but his mood drops when he realises there is a BABY in his quarters.
MC: Why didn't you help when she fell over?
Saizo: She'll never learn to do anything if you coddle her like that. And I wouldn't know how to coddle a baby, I never was. I've never known the happiness you seem to think there is in family. I can't give you something I've never had.
He walks past her then says "I'm getting changed, want to watch? :)" and she makes her apologies and leaves.
After MC leaves, Saizo goes to pick up a dropped doll, but then stops, and it as if he can still see the flecks of blood on his hands.
MC sprains her ankle and Saizo carries them both, MC falls asleep thinking about how she's happy as long as Saizo is with her, but dreams of being crushed by a giant baby.
MC wakes in Saizo's room, with Hime asleep in his arms, clutching to his sleeve. She thinks about how babies and animals always seem to be more drawn to him than Yukimura.
MC: I guess it's true what they say about animals and children being drawn to nice people.
Me and Saizo: What about Yukimura then??
MC: Oh, true.
Then Saizo denies he's a nice person despite her insistence and gets a little blushy.
He grumbles about what a burden children are as Hime sleeps between them. MC talks about happy moment with her parents as a child, then worries he might find this upsetting. But he asks her with a sad smile to tell him, to teach him what it was like.
Saizo: I thought such things were beyond me from the day I was born. But when I'm here with you...you allow me to think that maybe...there's more to me than that.
The next morning Kiyohiro arrives saying the baby needs to go to it's new family.
Saizo: You gave us another night, thank you for that.
Kiyohiro: Has someone become attached, Master Kirigakure?
Saizo: Please. Who do you think I am?
"Saizo chuckles lightly...though he doesn't know if Kiyohiro realises how much of that laughter is at himself."
Sasuke: HIMEEEEE ;_;
Yukimura: A man doesn't let others see his tears!
Sasuke: So we're supposed to cry in the bathroom for hours like you??
Hime, clutching Saizo: Love you!
Saizo: o.O
And then he picks her up and gives her a hug, and says "I love you too."
MC: Saizo??
Saizo: Well I'm never going to see her again.
MC: How does that help???
Saizo: But if this is what you hope for...maybe I can spare a little hope for myself. That wasn't entirely horrible.
Yukimura: Who are you and what have you done with Saizo?
Sasuke: S-sensei, you've never told ME you love me ;_;
And so of course rather than actually talk about anything Saizo literally picks MC up and runs away lol.
MC: I love you Saizo.
Saizo: Yeah, I know :)

Epilogue summary: "When Saizo finally lures Yukimura from the castle...what will await you?"
I'm guessing not a threesome but I can hope.
MC mopes a bit about Hime being gone and Saizo implies that if she visits his room he'll give her a baby of her own.
Saizo POV! He thinks about how much he likes talking to MC, and how wishing for a child goes against everything he knows, but she makes his self restraint falter a little. She's the one person he can't stand to hurt.
Yukimura: Saizo why are you smiling?
Saizo: I'm not :/
And then he tells Yukimura to take Sasuke out to a restaurant that just brought in Yukimura's favourite sake.
Saizo thinks about how MC is probably a virgin and wonders if he's worthy as her first, if she'd regret it. He smiles bitterly at himself.
That night, MC stands in front of Saizo's door, not wanting to be blatant about why she's there but knowing he will absolutely ask her to clarify if she's vague.
Then he pulls her into the room and she squeals.
Saizo: Well, I don't mind if you scream, since Yukimura's not here to hear it. So you're ready for me?
MC: I...I am.
Saizo: For what exactly? :)
MC: ...
Saizo: Just kidding. I know what you want.
He says the moon is beautiful, which afaict is a reference to indirectly telling someone you love them.
He undoes her clothes, then says she should take off his. "Go on, make a mess of me until you find exactly what it is you want to see" is a great line.
Ha Saizo POV and he describes her expression as "confused but aroused".
MC: I want to taste you.
Saizo: o.O
MC: NOT LIKE THAT.
Saizo: Well I don't mind, but maybe I'll taste you first ;)
MC: WELP THAT'S ENOUGH FOR ONE NIGHT I'LL BE GOING NOW.
She runs, half-naked, to the door...only for it to be opened by a shocked Yukimura.

Saizo is super into how MC feels against him but aware the moment has passed, and does up her kimono again. She clearly feels like she SHOULD have sex with him, but he shushes her and says to go to sleep.
MC: But I'm ready...even though I ran, I...
Saizo: Even if all I get from you is this...every night I do, I sleep a happy man.
He covers her wide, innocent eyes and wonders what he looks like to her. He doesn't have words for the feeling of trying to imagine himself without a mask.
He considers himself a man devoid of virtue, dangerous in his lack of humanity. Except when it comes to her.

...and then I got to 7000 points with Masamune but got the dates wrong and missed actually playing his story. Oops.
Anyway, this was really sweet, even if MC felt a bit OOC. Like, I am all for stories about people not being ready for sex and their partners being nice about it. But while Radiance!MC may be shy about articulating her desires, she is consistently super ready for sex in all the routes I've played, which includes these three dudes. But I can understand the writers wanting to play around with something different after writing the ten millionth AU with the same dynamics.
When I thought this was a porny event I had no interest in Nobunaga's story but now I'm curious to know if it had the same dynamic, since he's not generally great about people saying no to him. (The other guy I skipped was Kojuro, but he'd obviously be nice about it)

Date: 2020-07-07 01:01 pm (UTC)I didn't get Nobunaga's epilogue but his story was: Ieyasu is threatening a vassal of his, the vassal's kid runs to Nobunaga, Nobunaga goes back and forth on what to do about the kid. I liked that they resisted playing cute dad tropes with Nobunaga and had him stay his awful self in the presence of a cute kid.
ETA: I usually don't read Saizo's event routes but I did this time because of your OT3 fic...and okay, I get it now. They are very OT3 shippable.
