Electric Challenge 2020 - Stage 14: an upcoming game you're excited for

You'd think the answer would be "Dragon Age 4" but...*sighs and gestures towards the dumpster fire Bioware has become*

So I can't think of any games I'm excited for. But here's two that sound promising:

Dragon Age's original lead writer David Gaider's next project Chorus: An Adventure Musical sounds intriguing. It's an interactive musical whose branching narrative will be told through song.

Necrobarista is another interactive story, a cool looking Australian fantasy visual novel about necromancer baristas in Melbourne.

Yeah. :( If you'd told me a decade ago there'd come a time when I wasn't excited about an upcoming BW game...

(But that David Gaider project does sound intriguing!)

I can't help but feel like "An Adventure Musical" sounds like a joke game I'd see referenced in a parody, and yet I ALSO am now very excited for it ...

Yeah I'm not surprised he only managed to make something like this after he left EA.

I am absolutely here for David Gaider's next project. I find him kind of uneven as a bioware writer, but I can't wait wait wait for him to do the crazy world of Greek Mythology. I just hope he goes truly balls to the wall crazy with it.

I am sad about Modern Bioware, and I hope they can turn the ship around. EA seems to be doing their usual grave-yard stomp on them, sadly. I'm not really looking into DA4, but I'll hold out hope it isn't awful.

Necrobarista I had not heard of, but it sounds awesome.

Yeah I don't know if I'll like Chorus, but I am very curious to see what David Gaider does without corporate oversight, and expect it to at least be very interesting.

I first read that as Nekobarista and thought it was about cat baristas.

Both of those games sound interesting, although I'm not sure what Necrobarista is actually about, based on the trailer.
