If you're up for it, I would appreciate comments with/about happy things!

For example, I am currently playing the new version of Stardew Valley and enjoying the little new things popping up. It hasn't been much so far but afaict most of the changes happen in the later part of the game.

Also, here is a cute orca bear.

I will plausibly not reply to comments because of Brain Stuff but they are all much appreciated.

I bought stardew valley because it was on sale but haven't started playing yet. Because busy. But in a few weeks I will have significant leave for first time in 3 years. So yay.

My first of three Thanksgiving dinners is this afternoon, and I'm looking forward to all of them. I expect good food and good company at each stop.

I am also playing a new game of Stardew Valley! I accidentally named my farmer and my farm the *exact same thing* as the last game, but I also caught a flounder in spring, and found some rice in a fishing chest! All the new little things have been great.

Also today I am doing a bit better than yesterday, which doesn't seem like much, but after a solid week of 'no improvements' feels like the sun has broken through the clouds a little bit.

Yes I saw the same little spring changes! Also I noticed there's a cheap "beginner" fishing rod that only catches simple fish but makes them easy, which is not something I need any more but is a great idea for new players.

Oh that's great! It stopped working for me for some reason but I had a lot of fun with it for quite a while, and idk about you but spiting the constant attempts to get me to spend money was part of the challenge haha.

I spent part of the afternoon at the National Ice-skating championships watching people really investing in their sport, and when I ran out of oomph was able to watch the rest of it via livestream in my hotel room.

Yeah, I am not ever going to give them money. I'm happy to buy a game and pay for it one time, but am never going to spend something on jewels or stuff like that which is used up shortly and then they'll try to tempt you to buy more.

But I'm having fun and getting ahead so far and if that stops I'll just move on to a new game.

I have a new piece of jewellery.

Specifically a beautiful gold ring to wear on my ring finger as a symbol that I am in a committed relationship.

I mean, I'm happy about it?

I should probably make a post about something not horrifyingly depressing for once, really.

Congratulations! I keep mine on my bedside cabinet because it turns out my fingers change size dramatically depending on whim but it still makes me happy all these years later :)

I have a chain specially for if I need to take it off.

Also, if I needed, I could swap it to a different finger, because I seem to have no two fingers the same size. Not even matching fingers. This fits perfectly on my left ring finger - as it should, having been made specifically to the size of my left ring finger - but it's crazy loose on my right one.

I suspect I'd need some kind of unpleasant hand injury for it to fit on my pinkie finger, of course.

Things are going really well for my spouse with his scifi writing, and I'm happy that I get to work on some stuff in the world of Python that will help a lot of people have an easier time with something that is currently frustrating!
