Three Things Meme

A meme from
rachelmanija, in which I asked for and received three things to talk about "that I may or may not know or care about."
I'm going to ramble off the top of my head or I'll overthink it. If you reply asking for your own three things, I will also answer off the top of my head, which will be a fun adventure in not-entirely-over-my-cold word association.
Anyway! Three things!
Visual novels:
I've always really clicked with both drawn stories (comics, anime, manga etc) and interactive stories. I thus love the way visual novels combine the two, and the fact that they often involve romance (another type of story I really like) doesn't hurt.
The first Visual Novel I remember playing (in my currently very sleepy state) and realising was part of a Defined Genre was Magical Diary, which is very thinly veiled "15 year old American girl goes to Hogwarts and learns magic and falls in love with Snape/Ginny/Hermione/Fred&George/A sexy blue demon" wish fulfilment and much more fun than I was expecting.
Another key game for me was a Homestuck fangame, of which I can't remember the name or even the pairing (Aradia and John, maybe??), but it was clearly thrown together very quickly, yet it worked perfectly, and I went "What did they make this with? If they can do it, so I can I." The answer turned out to be Ren'py, and I was right :)
Fruit:
Every time I think about this question I get hungry and wander off to find food and forget to actually write anything.
But, uh...I generally like fruit a lot! Alas, fruit does not generally like me. If it's very acidic, raw pear or apple, a stone fruit, or even a little fermented, it will probably make me ill to a greater or lesser extent. This leaves me with, like...bananas, mangos, paw-paw, lychees/rambutan, persimmons, grapes, and most melons (for some reason my body sometimes takes exception to rockmelon/cantaloupe) So in summer I wince at the cost, and in winter I drink a lot of apple juice and feel hard done by.
Cats:
ADORABLE. I LOVE THEM.
I specifically love my cat Kira, who is currently pouting in the study with Cam because I keep making these loud and off-putting coughing noises for NO GOOD REASON.
