Time for Jihae, the serious and angsty bunny knight.

I LOVED HIM. HE'S LIKE SAITO FROM HAKUOKI AS A BUNNYBOY.

I really liked the way this worked for me having already played Jieun's path, since they have connected backstory. But it would have been interesting seeing things the other way around too.

Content notes: consent issues, suicide

So apparently I need to get to one affection level with Jieun in addition to Jihae's requirements...but is that only once I get on Jihae's route? I want to avoid accidentally ending up on Jieun's route again!

Also it's going to feel weird if I end up feeling like Jieun's step-mum...

I've seen a bunch of Jihae's reactions to early interactions at this point: he is very polite and quiet and serious, in a way that's a little surreal from a bunny. But this is the first time I've thought much about them beyond "Oops that's not the guy I'm after".

But I just realised. He's not a creepy older brother yandere. HE'S A KUUDERE. THE EMOTIONALLY REPRESSED QUIETLY SELF HATING TYPE. LIKE SAITO. HE'S A BUNNY RABBIT SAITO :D :D

(Hopefully. That's a lot to read from being stared at seriously)

haa Jiwoo was frustrating to romance but is fun to not romance, he is so easy to avoid getting points from and so amusing when he's all STOP HUGGING ME HUMAN

Meanwhile, I am so not taking any baths with Jiyeon around from now on.

Jihae looks so dignified when he's getting brushed. He's so restful on dates, too, just sitting and staring at things with a faint air of melancholy. Kind of funny looking, though, for all that Heejung keeps going on about how pretty he is (luckily I think human Jihae is very pretty indeed, which is better than the other way around)

Jihae don't NOD IN ANSWER TO QUESTIONS you are a BUNNY. In general his deep seated need to obey orders and be helpful is interfering with his ability to pass as non-sentient, luckily Heejung just thinks he is a really clever bunny.

I decided to try for a single heart with Jieun early on to be on the safe side, and was reminded how much more likely to take offense he is than Jihae. Also going on bunny dates felt a little like cheating.

haha Jihae just gave Heejung a cd of classical music. Can you imagine this serious little bunny hopping up with a cd in it's...mouth, I guess?

I checked whether I was satisfying Jihae's requirements and I am, but he has a little half-lidded blushing bunny sprite to indicate his high approval and it's kind of weirding me out. BRING ON HUMAN JIHAE.

JIHAE PATH GET

Heejung is feeling a bit down, and Jihae seems to be too, so she take him with her to the park. And then she's facing a strikingly beautiful man with bunny ears "who looks like a knight from the middle ages". No? That coat's 19th century at the earliest?

Is he a foreign prince or a furry cosplayer?

Jihae's voice is very deep, calm, and serious.

"I can't believe I was so busy looking at a good looking man that I lost my pet!"
Jihae: I'm sorry to have caused you worry. I'm right here, My Lady. I'm your pet who is always watching over you.

"A luscious white haired boy who looked no older than a middle/high-schooler rushed out to meet Jihae" Way to make me feel weird about dating him first, game...

Jihae always looks so quietly surprised and pleased to get gifts even though it's dandelions I picked up for free in the park.

Normally after I do someone's path I like them more, but now every time I see Jiyeon I kinda want to punch him.

Heejung finds it hard to talk to Jihae: he's so reserved, and distractingly beautiful. But one day he sits next to her when she's drawing and asks to see her art. Normally she's too shy to show people but he asks so politely she can't say no. She shows him a drawing of dandelion seeds and explains it's seen as a way to grant wishes. He smile sadly and says "A wish...I see. What is your wish?" Heejung thinks sadly about her inability to decide what she wants to do with her life and says "I don't think I have one yet. What about you?" He just looks silently pensive.

One afternoon Jihae comes home with a bag of groceries saying he'll cook dinner, since Heejung shouldn't always have to. When pressed he says he paid for the food by selling jewels he'd brought from his own world. Heejung asks if he wants to cook together and he's a bit taken aback and embarrassed. Heejung feels self conscious, and they step on each other's toes a bit, both politely trying to do everything for the other. The meal ends up burned, and they both blame themselves. Their hands meet as they both reach to deal with the pan, and then they both pull away in embarrassment.
Jihae, who is very tall and wearing a black tunic with his hair in a loose braid, looks away embarassed, his rabbit ears drooping. Heejung looks away too, holding her hands self consciously. Between them is a smoking pan. Heejung thinks Why am I so embarassed and shy?

They both agree it's very hot in here all of a sudden and get takeout.

ADORABLE

This scene made me hungry and I realised it was time for dinner, so I thought "haha better not burn it". And, well... I didn't burn it *plays game as I build up the energy to have a shower and put the Egg Incident behind me*

haha so the advantage of talking to both Jihae and Jieun is that now I see the former saying "make sure the Young Master eats enough broccolis" and the latter saying "please don't feed me broccolis".

'You picked out a lot of books, you must be tired. I will prepare tonight's dinner."

Heejung is so awkward around Jihae it actually feels in character to hang out with Jieun instead sometimes.

Haa. Jieun's reaction to "talk to plants" is "yes, talking to plants is good" while Jihae thinks it's weird, but charmingly so.

"Heejung appreciates Jihae helping her with housework" OFFICIALLY BEST BOYFRIEND

Jisoo asks Heejung why she's so down, and makes a face when he finds out it's about Jihae.
Heejung: I'm comfortable talking to you, but for some reason feel strange and awkward around him.
Jisoo: ...then just don't talk to him >.>
Which just makes her realise how much she wants to talk to Jihae and get to know him better. Nice try, Jisoo.
Jisoo: *sigh* He might give you a hard time. He can only think of himself. Of course...it's the same for all of us. Be careful. We're not humans...*reaches for her face and whispers* we're animals.
Heejung backs away just as Jihae comes home.
Jihae, sounding slightly angry: Why are you trembling?
Jisoo: I didn't do anything, right, Foodgiver?
Jihae: I knew I could never trust a cat.

BAD JIHAE DON'T BE CATBOY RACIST

Jisoo: Let's see if you can still act all innocent and noble when your dirty history is revealed to everyone.
OOOH
Jihae, looking miserable: ...it's the same for you
Jisoo: Nonsense! I'm going to ruin everything for you!
Jihae: Interfering like this is a breach of contract.
Heejung: Stop fighting!
Jihae: I apologise
Jisoo: Damned rabbit pretending to be a gentleman again. It makes me sick!
Jihae: I knew you were of low status, but please mind your language in front of the lady.
Jisoo: I'm not going to let you win!
Jihae: It's not a matter of my will. I'm just waiting to be selected.

Jisoo angrily grabs onto Jihae's collar, shaking with anger. Jihae remains entirely calm.
Split screen of a furious Jisoo glaring at a coolly frowning Jihae, with Heejung looking on in horror. Jisoo says If you don't want to win, then just stay far away from her. Far far away.

Jihae, calmly: if something like this happens again, I won't just stand by.
Jisoo: What are you going to do about it?

And then Jihae grabs Heejung's wrist and pulls her into her room??? I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT'S GOING ON AND I LOVE IT.

Jihae: My lady, I will never try to use you. But I won't stop you from making a choice either.
She asks him to explain what's going on but he just lowers his head and tell her not to trust "the black cat". Then he apologises for causing trouble, and leaves.

One thing this game has been surprisingly lacking in is any angst around them trying to get her to like them, either the dude feeling like a fake or Heejung worrying that they're not sincere. Even Jiyeon's conman angst seemed kind of coincidental to it. I wonder if it'll come up here, especially since the whole reason Jihae is here is to make up for his last girlfriend killing herself when they broke up. I have to wonder how he justified joining the game of "get a girl to become depressed when her boyfriend dumps her" to himself.

Jiyeon: Guess what! Jihae's doing jip! They're paying him money! I wanted to do it too but they said I needed a family consent farm, can you sign it for me?
Heejung: (JIP as in Joy In Paradise, the local host club where middle aged women pay for the company of young men??) NO D:
Jiyeon: But they said all I had to do is smile!
Heejung: (Do they not know what's right and wrong in this world??)
Me, having played Jiyeon's path: haaa

Jihae explains that he was persuaded to take up modelling (job=jip) on the condition that he gets to wear a hat at all times. It occurs to Heejung that they will all leave eventually and she feels sad.

Heejung sees a bunch of schoolgirls in front of her apartment block, adjusting their makeup. She remembers being that age, her mum telling her she'd have time for makeup and self expression in college. Except now she doesn't know how to express herself...

Fangirls: Hey, old lady, do you live here? This is our hottie Jihae's house!
Jihae, ignoring them: My lady, dinner tonight is spaghetti. I'll open the door for you.
Fangirls: D:<

Hearing them be so open about their emotions, screaming that they love Jihae, makes Heejung feel weird.

Heejung was hoping to spend Christmas day with "her new family" but they've all gone out. She wanders the city alone, surrounded by couples, feeling alone. She bumps into Jihae coming back from a shoot, and they walk back home together. She hopes the others will be home, so that they can all be together.
Jihae: If I'd realised you'd be alone on Christmas, I'd have cancelled the shoot.
He hands her a card. Suddenly this Christmas is the best ever.

Heejung has a nightmare of her mother telling her she's lazy and useless. "Maybe if I can become perfect, mom will love me..."

Jihae: My Lady? Are you alright?

For a moment she mistakes him for a prince from a story book.

Heejung: I had a bad dream...of my mom being mad at me...
Jihae, whose last girlfriend killed herself because of her parent's disapproval: Ah. My being here will bother you, I'll leave.

Without meaning to, she grabs his shirt, afraid to be alone. "Can you stay, for a little while?"
He sits next to her on the bed. "Will you finish that picture you showed me, of the dandelion seed? I keep thinking about it's meaning. It would be nice to have your wish granted just by blowing on the seed head. Without getting the ones you care about involved. But it's too late now."

She gets drawn into his eyes and feels embarrassed and looks away.
Jihae: My lady, is it that...you don't like my appearance? I feel that you turn away whenever you look at me.
Heejung: No?! How would that even be possible? (Does he honestly not know he's hot? Do I really have to explain it? uuurgh) I...I've never seen a man as beautiful as you.
Jihae: You think I'm beautiful? o.O

This is ridiculous and I love it.

Heejung: Anyone would!
Jihae: I see. Perhaps that is the case...on your world.
Heejung: Is it not the case on yours?
Jihae: ...My Lady. If it's not my looks, there is some other reason you've been avoiding my gaze.
He comes closer, and her heart starts pounding.
Jihae: It's late. You should go to sleep.
And then he kisses her on the top of the head and leaves.
Heejung: !!!!
Me: !!!!

Jihae reads an art book with her and admires her intelligence, saying he wished Jieun liked art too. Which actually endears me to Jieun as well since he was very supportive of Heejung's art anyway.

"May I hold your hand? Your tiny hands make me feel protective..."

OH HEY I JUST REALISED I don't think I've seen much of Jisoo around the house since their argument. HMM.

Heejung can't help but blush every time she sees Jihae. He seems fine and she wonders if kissing someone's hair doesn't mean anything to him. But he's been working long hours so she doesn't see him much. There's one person she can ask to try and get a better understanding of Jihae....
Heejung: So, um, Jieun, are you lonely with Jihae out so much?
Jieun: I'm lonely :(
Heejung, feeling "like an adult who hurt a child": Do you want to go see him at work?
Jieun, grabbing her hand: Yes.

Jieun leads her to a building, saying "Eddie's scent".
Fangirl1: It's that old lady again, should we get rid of her? And that guy with her is cute, should we approach him?
Fangirl2: No, he belongs to Jihae.
Jieun: Go away >:(

Jihae is lying on a couch in an open-necked shirt, tilting his hat forward into his hand and looking at the camera sexily.
Heejung: So...handsome /o\
Me: How is that safely hiding his ears??

Jieun runs in and Jihae gives him a hug. Then Jihae steps towards Heejung. Her heart beats so fast she can't think, but he says he's happily surprised to see her here and she feels happy too.
Jihae: Please take care of Young Master while I finish the shoot :)
Jieun, looking at Heejung with a considering expression: Eddie smiled at you.

A while later Heejung gets a phonecall from Heejae's modelling agency offering her a job? As his manager?? They're really insistent despite her being a random business student they've met once, and I was wondering if it was Jihae's idea, but then he grabs the phone and tells them to leave her alone. "If you keep this up I'll have no choice but to quit."
Heejung: Wait, you're quitting?!
Jihae: The job wasn't important, and I don't want you to be troubled.
Heejung: But you've become so successful, and these people care about you so much...you don't need them?

Heejung is worried about him but also baffled: she's so desperate for acknowledgement and raise herself that the idea of walking away from it is incomprehensible.

Heejung: Is it because you have everything you want that you can give it up? You got it so easy...yet no matter how hard I try...
Jihae: What I have right now is not important...because I haven't known what I like, or dislike, for a long time. I'm pathetic, I don't know what I really want. Do you want me to keep my job?
Heejung: Yes. You looked amazing.
She feels bad for venting her frustration on him, and wants to see Jihae being acknowledged by others. She's also having trouble keeping her composure in the face of his overwhelming hotness.
Jihae: Thank you. Now I have a reason not to quit. But your face looks red...are you sick?
Heejung: I'M FINE
Jihae: You're avoiding my gaze again...was it a lie, about me being beautiful?
Heejung: No! I...I don't know why but...when I look at you...I...I...asdfasdf....
Jihae, stepping closer: My Lady. Would you please clarify for me? Or I might get the wrong idea. Do you really not know the reason?
Heejung: (KILL ME NOW) I...I like you!!
Jihae: Alright. I won't stop you making your choice.
Heejung: Uh?
Jihae: And since you've told me...I won't hide my feelings either.

He kisses her, and she's so overwhelmed she can barely think.

Ok that was pretty great. But the problem wth the way this game's set up is that their dialogue after that is identical to before, because he hasn't gone up an affection level yet. It feels weird!

They go to a movie. Jihae says they should see whatever she wants and Heejung wishes she could help him find his own preferences. She still feels awkward next to him and doesn't understand why. The movie characters kiss and she thinks of kissing Jihae, he puts his hand on hers and smiles, then asks if she's uncomfortable, she thinks that she is but not in a bad way (wait is this a sex thing haha)

haha the dialogue has changed now and he's constantly making veiled remarks about how hot she is.

Huuh so I don't remember if this came up on his path but Jieun just said that Jihae is a good artist himself?? (EDIT: AND IT NEVER CAME UP AGAIN)

Heejung sees Jihae and Jieun arguing about how many apples Jieun can eat.
Jieun: You don't need to take care of me any more. You should just think about her. I wish that you'd be happy. Don't miss the opppurtunity given to you.
Jihae, grabbing his shoulders: Did you use your powers for an inferior being like me?
Jieun: You're a fool! Think about yourself for once! I want to let you go now!
Jihae: ...I apologise for being rude.
Jieun: It's ok.

Thi is all much sadder knowing their full backstory.

Jieun leaves the room and bumps into Heejung, revealing that she's been eavesdropping.

Heejung: Uh. Hi! I was just getting a glass of water!
Jihae gets her one so politely she wonders if he's angry, and then walks out before she can ask anything more.

Jihae just approached Heejung in her bedroom and said "I would prefer if none of the other animals came in here" which noone else has said. He's said a couple of other jealous things too.

Jihae has been spending a lot of time at work, leaving Heejung and Jieun to their own devices. Jieun is melancholy and not eating apples.
Jisoo: I guess I'll eat these spare apples since the nanny's not here to peel them.
Heejung: Or you could peel them for Jieun :/
Jisoo: A CAT peel apples for a RABBIT?!
Heejung: Fine, I'll do it.
Jisoo: I'm dissappointed in your taste in men. Why that aristocratic rabbit? Why not me?
He reaches for her and she feels afraid.
Jihae: Get your dirty hands off her.
Jisoo: What are you going to do about it?

Jihae pulls Heejung towards himself and roughly kisses her. Hisoo mutters and leaves, and Heejung is left feeling dizzy and off balance.
Jihae: My Lady, are you alright? I apologise. I surprised you. I...I lost control...
Heejung: *pauses to settle her thoughts* Did you get jealous?
Jihae: ...yes.

haha so many scenes where Jihae is reacting with calm politeness to what's implied to be like...porny art or a sex education show or something, all "My Lady, why are you embarrassed?". Other than that, at this point he's talking a lot about how much he enjoys her company, it's cute.

On a date in the art room alone:
Heejung: Jihae, why don't we, um...?
Jihae: If my lady desires, I am always up for it

OK THEN

Jieun cuts himself trying to peel his own apple, then just stares vacantly at the blood. Heejung puts on a bandaid and finds herself being all LOOK HOW GROWN UP YOU ARE PEELING APPLES then feels a little weird, since he's not that young.
Jieun, sadly: Thank you....thank you for making Eddie smile.
Heejung: Jieun...what's Jihae's relation to you?
Jieun: Eddie is my...knight. He stays by my side and protects me.
Heejung: How? For how long?
Jieun: I am of the upper class. I made Eddie my knight seven years ago...because Eddie was by my side since I was born. But in this world there is no class or rank. There's no reason for Eddie to protect me any more.
She thinks about how even so, Jihae is always looking after Jieun.
Heejung: Why did you come to this world?
Jieun: I can't tell you. Eddie...has to answer that question. He has to find the real reason by himself. Eddie thinks everything is his fault. About her, and why I came here...
Heejung: Who is...she? (??!!!)
Jieun: ...ask Eddie. I now...*looks at finger* I should now should learn to deal with pain like this.

So Jieun is 17. Also, I've been watching Venom while playing, and let me tell you the contrast between the eldritch aliens saying "Eddie! Eddie!" is quite something.

Me: Maybe it's a little weird of me to reading subtext between Jihae and Jieun...
Fangirls: Jieun and Jihae are going out right? Are they childhood friends? Or half-brothers?
Heejung: (highschool girls these days are so creative): They're uh...like...a knight and his young master.
Fangirls: SQUEAL <3

Haaa I just realised they're screaming "Oppa" when they see Jihae.

Fangirls: Jihae, we wish you the best with the white haired boy.
Jihae: Do you mean...the Young Master?
Fangirls: SQUEAL <3

Heejung and Jihae go inside. They're the only ones home, and both head to the kitchen to make dinner. Heejung thinks back to the first, disastrous, time they cooked together and how much less awkward she feels around him now.

Heejung: Are you and Jieun ok?
Jihae: You don't have to concern yourself with that.
Heejung: Jieun told me you used to be his knight. I don't really understand about you and Jieun, but I want to, because it involves you.
He steps closer and gently touches her hair, softly saying "Do I really have the right to love someone else?"
Jihae: I am...a sinner. I might burden you with my stories.

He was born Eddison, the child of an untouchable woman, and a count. His mother told him to never forget he belonged to a noble family. His father told him the moment Jihae ruined the father's reputation, he was no longer his child. And everyone else told Jihae his silver hair was an ill omen. I think the implication is the original plan was to send him at 15 to be the sex slave of some noble? D:

When Jihae was seven, Jieun was born, the son of a maid and the king. Jihae served Jieun's mother, who taught him many things. Jieun followed Jihae around, despite the court's dissaproval.

"His birth saved me. And when I turned 18 he made me a knight. Noone looked down on me any more. And I...was given the oppurtunity to love a woman." Heejung realises he's trembling. "The woman I loved...took her life because of me."

We hear Jihae's ex begging her father to be allowed to marry Jihae instead of her arranged fiance.

"If it wasn't for me, she could have been happy. Everything is my fault."

Awwww. It's even sadder knowing the real story. He really doesn't blame Jieun at all, what a self sacrificing sweetie. Also this makes Jihae 24.

Heejung takes Jihae's trembling hands in hers.
Heejung: Everything is ok now. Not everything is your fault. What you can do for her, is try your best to live happily. So from now on...I'll be next to you.
He smiles at her warmly and whispers her name.

(Yes, ok game, I see Jieun and Jihae as brothers now. Tragic brothers ;_;)

We're in the final stretch now. Jihae keeps looking melancholy then saying "My lady, may I hold you for a moment?" ;_;

Awww he bought them matching aprons with flowers on.

Jihae find himself with the Wizard.
Wizard: So what do you think of the game? The heroine certainly is attractive, isn't she? It seems she's dreaming of a happy ever after with you, almost makes my eyes water.
Jihae: I'll give up on what I wished for. I want to stay in this world.
Wizard: You like her that much? What about the woman you loved so much? You aren't going to save her?
Jihae: ...
Wizard: I pity your girl in heaven...or hell.
Jihae: I'll pay whatever price necessary.
Wizard: You mean your memory? Hmmm...no. You've got a month left of the game, keep at it!
Jihae: What more could you want?
Wizard: Memory that's more precious than yours. But it's not yours to give. Well! I have to get back to my rounds. I am the host of the game after all. I wonder how she'll react after you dissappear...
Jihae: What are you going to do to her?
Wizard: I'll decide after your heartbroken Lady comes to me. I'm bored to death waiting, heroine. Won't you come crawling to me for help already?

There's one thing I'll say for the Wizard: he makes the equivalent Nameless character look like a real catch. Nnng.

Some of the stuff Jihae says is just that little bit obsessively weird, what with the jealousy and the repressed sexual longing. I can see the line from him to Tei from Nameless, who is kinda like Jihae on the surface but much darker underneath.

Jihae appears at Heejung's school unexpectedly just as she's leaving. Heejae's like "wait isn't that...that famous model?" Sorry Heejae.
Heejung: Hello! Don't you have work?
Jihae: I quit. I lost interest.
Heejung: Wait wha-
He pulls her into a hug and says her name sadly.
Heejung: Did something happen?
Jihae: ... :(
So Heejung just holds him and tells him everything will be alright.

It's the 29th of May and all the others are moving out. Jiwoo says he "has his own place" and will earn money as a writer, and Jisoo and Jiyeon are moving in with a "rich old lady". She worries about them all, and has a dark feeling she will never see them again.

And then she realises she can't see Jihae or Jieun or any of their things. She calls Jihae in a panic and he tells her to meet him at a cafe, but he is silent and distant. At last he says "You have given me so much...more than I deserve, But...I can't stay by your side."
Heejung: Why?! ;_;
Jihae: I want you to be happy. And I can no longer be with you. I can't say why. Just hate me.
Heejung: I can't hate you! Just explain why!! :(
Jihae: Don't seek me out. Follow your dream instead. This will be better for you.

And then he leaves, pulling away from her as she grabs at his arm.

And now...I'm back to stats raising, in an entirely empty house.

Heejung finds herself in a dark place, facing the Wizard.
Wzard: That man went to so much trouble to stop you meeting me, yet here you are ^_^ You don't remember me do you?
She instinctively shies away from his touch. She learns about the game and starts shouting at him: why did he do this? What happened to the others? He gets impatient and demands she tell him her wish. He grabs her chin and looks into her eyes and she is drawn into saying "I want to be with Jihae".
The Wizard is surprised by her depth of feeling, and jealous of it, EVEN THOUGH IT WAS ALL HIS IDEA. He pushes her to the ground.
Wizard: I waited all this time and see you missing someone else. Do you like the knight so much? Enough that you'd forget your own mother? You loved her so.
Heejung: M-mom? What?
Wizard: Your wish is my command. The price is a part of your memory. Tomorrow you will see the one you miss so much.

The next day(!!) Heejung wakes up with a headache. The house looks and smells strange. She sees an unusual cellphone and the date says...2013?? And then an unfamiliar man comes to the door, gasping for breath as if he'd been running. She wants to ask who he is, but he's so beautiful she can't speak.
Jihae: My Lady!
Heejung: Who...who are you?

Closing Credits!!

Wait that was...not the usual order of things! *watches credits impatiently to see what happens next*

Heejung: i can't believe such a beautiful man likes me. You're just by my side because you were dating me before I lost my memory. Do you really like me?
Jihae: My lady, do you know the meaning of dandelion seeds?
Heejung: To have a wish come true.
Jihae: And what is your wish?
Heejung: To draw well, and be acknowledged by lots of people.
Jihae: ...that is a good wish.
Heejung: What is your wish?
Jihae: You made it come true. My wish was to be with you. It seems that man let you go without doing anything to you...My lady...if you wish for anything too hard, the Wizard will come for you. Be careful.

Jihae, who is entirely human and has his hair cut to just above his ears, smiles into te distance. Heejung, with her hair all done up in curls, looks at him. Jihae says lease...don't forget any of the memories we will be making together.

Jihae: I love you from the bottom of my heart, My Lady.

THE END

Awwwwww I really liked that! Heejung didn't get as much character development (what happened with her mother??) but we got to see a proper reunion! Comparatively! It feels like the implication is that she loved Jihae more than Jiyeon and Jiwoo, since the Wizard didn't get jealous of them the same way. But, well *gestures to Jiyeon and Jiwoo*

Also Jihae's shorter hair makes him look like Victor Nikiforov which is fine by me.

I was expecting the Jisoo and Jihae conflict to go somewhere deeper involving their respective feelings about cat and rabbit relations, I wonder if it comes up in the bad end (which from the scene menu seems pretty long) or Jisoo's path. In general this game feels a bit like they just threw all the ideas they could think of at a wall, and not everything stuck, or got fleshed out.

I was starting to think Jihae had some dark secret other than the backstory I already knew, but no. I wonder how it would have felt playing in the other order. You'd probably be like "ah yes, I know what happened here" then slowly realise Jieun was WAY more at fault than Jihae implied.

Extras:
Haha wow Jihae's voice actor Nakyoon Choi is this cheerful guy who keeps getting excited and laughing, he sounds totally different. He tells any players who didn't like his voice acting to come to Bokjung or Suseo station and come and kick him in the shins. (He was great though)

The sketch includes one of Jihae in a suit (yes good) and one with slightly below shoulder length hair (odd) The CG has him with wet hair and flowers and is very pretty.

And now, Jisoo! I hope his behaviour this path wasn't a sign of him being super bad about consent :( Come on, game, that's a harmful catboy stereotype perpetuated by the Rabbitraircy!

And after that is the Wizard, who is very bad about consent indeed D:
