Red barges into Eri's room and calls her a heroine, Tei his Commander in Chief and Yeonho his ally Yellow. Eri ponders that by hair colour logic, Yuri should die and Lance should betray everyone.
I have NO IDEA where the plot of this game is going so I don't know if this is foreshadowing or just a pop culture reference.

Yuri steals a fried egg Yeonho cooked for Eri, which almost makes Yeonho cry.
Yuri: No harm done, if you kiss me you can still-
Lance: *throws a slipper at Yuri's head*
Red: You know, Yuri, with that face mask on you look like a babbler ghost.
Lance: It's 'bachelor ghost' you ignoramus.
Yeonho: YURI'S A GHOST??
Tei explains that bachelor ghosts are men who died before they could get married, and so creepily hit on women for eternity. "His gentle smile is at odds with his vicious words towards Yuri".
Me: Ohhhh. Tei's a villain! What is it with otome and gentle older brother types?
Yeonho, writing in a notebook: If...Yuri hits on girls...I should feed him garlic...
Me: Also Yeonho is a dumbass.
Yuri has been staying out late for no apparent reason, and Red heard him flirting with a girl on the phone (Red thought it was some secret code, but my "Yuri is a rent boy" theory is looking more plausible) Red whispers to Eri that he thinks there's a spy amongst them. He senses dark spirits from the room Tei and Yuri share, and since Tei is on their side...
Me: OMG Tei is SUCH a villain.
I'm hoping the game doesn't go for a "Yuri is a misunderstood woobie" approach because he may not be a villain but he's still a creep.
(Also I looked up bachelor ghosts, and apparently they way they and their female equivalent are exorcised is by holding ghost weddings to pair them up, which is adorable)
FIRST CHOICE OF THE GAME! Go to school with Yuri, Lance, or Yeonho?? Haaa ok I think I'll manage without a walkthrough.
I think Tei and Red unlock later which would certainly fit with them having Spoilery Plot Stuff in their paths like SECRETLY BEING THE VILLAIN.
HMMMMMM. Lance is a little more jerkish than I like but Yeonho's a bit...much.
My gut says Yeonho if only because that's who I feel like Eri would choose. He's a sweetie who only wants her approval! Hopefully the game will sell me on the romance (and his...ability to consent to it) by the time it gets romance-y. And if not I'll have ripped off that consent-issues bandaid.
On the way to school he is just bouncing with joy to be with her. She thinks about how the other dolls treat her just like a friend, so she does the same. But Yeonho is unambiguously happier thinking of her as his master, and gets antsy when she, say, asks him to use her given name. They have a conversation that really feels like mutually agreeing to a platonic 24/7 D/S relationship lol.

Haa so nobody knows Eri lives with the guys except the Principal, not even Eri's friends. Soi and the other girls at the school are super into the cute "transfer students" and new teacher, and jealous that Eri "happens" to be on good terms with the "HOT5". (Meanwhile Shinbi is quietly resigned to being the only lesbian in this story)
Side note the principal has a tendency to go into long rambling anecdotes which I eventually realised are about being a student and teacher around the time of the liberation of Korea from the Japanese. Which happened in...1949? 64 years before the game is set? How old is this guy??
Yeonho's passivity is somewhat counteracted by everyone (especially girls) being unable to resist his puppy-dog expression and generally wanting to make him happy because he's so darn adorable. Seo in particular likes poking his cheeks and apparently he likes it? *ships a little*
On the other hand he's so popular with girls that Eri feels in danger if it becomes too obvious he especially likes her.
Some boys are sad about not having girlfriends and Tei tells Red the best way to lift their "curse" is to hit them on the head or sing a song so he sings at them VERY BADLY. And then they...follow him around like little ducks singing the song. What is up with these two...
Yuri is teaching music class with sex metaphors and feeling annoyed that there are boys in his class. It did not occur to me until now that him being a teacher would mean more sexual creepiness for all the other girls, my approval is rescinded.
The students don't get it and ask him to demonstrate with an actual instrument, his demonstrating gets increasingly sexual and then...
Next choice! Who to share lunch with? I choose Yeonho and he ecstatically eats the food Eri offers despite obviously being full. She makes a mental note to make sure he knows he can say no next time.
We've seen very little of Lance since he's such a loner.
Just when I'm thinking Yuri's obsession with Eri means he at least won't actively hit on female students...

I am offered the choice to save Yeonho, save Lance, or volunteer. I choose volunteer and Mr Yujin says he'll need Eri later to assist with his new skeleton.
Eri: OMG A NEW SKELETON HOW EXCITING PLEASE TELL US ALL THE DETAILS

New Chapter!
Soi, Shinbi, and Eri go to visit Tei at the cafe he works at. I am distracted from Soi swooning over Tei by how bad the background is. THIS IS JUST A FILTERED PHOTOGRAPH. Paint over the fuzzy harp strings at least, geeze.
We meet Tei's hot coworker Zion and manager Hobin.
Yuri gives Eri a fancy cellphone and she refuses to use it unless he buys one for everyone else.
Eri thinks affectionately about her "family" at home and has a moment of angst wondering if they think of her as family, and whether they might suddenly turn back into dolls one day.
Something I keep forgetting to mention: there seem to be two styles of uniform, one with a bow and girly jacket and another with a tie and more masculine jacket. Yeonho, Tei, Eri and Soi wear the "girly" version. Shinbi wears the manly version, Red wears the manly jacket with no tie, and Lance wear the girly jacket with a tie. The sprites cut off at the waist but I think all the random background girls we see wear skirts and all the guys wear pants, regardless of jacket style.
Another new Chapter! "A Cat Called John"
Yeonho suddenly runs out of class and Eri goes looking for him, filled with guilt and terrified he might be sick or turning back into a doll. Red is horrified, Tei organises a search, Lance tries to act cool but is clearly worried and says Eri need to stop crying or her dolls won't know what to do. Eri still seems entirely oblivious to the fact that Lance cares about her, what's less clear is whether he resents being so attached to her or is just That Tsundere.
Eri eventually finds Yeonho in an alleyway talking to a cat. It turns out Yeonho can hear animals and spirits, and this cat had lost his owner which Yeonho considers the WORST POSSIBLE FATE. Realising how worried Eri was he hugs her and apologises.
The cat's name is John...short for Johnson, which is a double entendre that everyone but Red and Yeonho understand.
Red: But Johnson sounds cute! ...is there some meaning I'm missing?
Eri, internally: Oh Red, so innocent and so very stupid. I'm supposed to be the innocent girl here, don't ask me.
Yeonho: Master, what does it mean??
Eri: A LITTLE HELP TEI?
Tei: ^_^ *looks away*
Yuri: Ah, you boys are at that curious age. As your teacher I will happily explain, you see...
Lance: *covers Yeonho's ears* No.
Yeonho: Um. Anyway, can we keep John?
Eri: I'm sorry, we don't have the room and can't afford it :(
Yeonho: Ok ;_; Good bye John ;_;
Eri: I'M A MONSTER
Me: YES YOU ARE
Also it turns out Yuri doesn't own a car, he's been taking a cab every day. WITH MONEY THAT COULD BE SPENT ON CAT FOOD. Eri's theory on where he gets his money is that he's scamming people, which is a fair call.
Eri is writing in her diary, and then everything goes black. She's in another dream. It's the merry-go-round that shows up in the menu background etc, ooh! Time for some answers/plot??
She remembers going there once as a child. She sees a boy who seems oddly familiar, who says he has been waiting for her. The merry go round spins as if it will never stop.
And then.
I GET A GAME OVER BAD END SCREEN.
