A joyful post-colonscopy report

alias_sqbrJoyful because I DON'T NEED ANOTHER ONE FOR THREE YEARS :D :D And yeah it's a reflection of my life that "Only needing a colonoscopy every 3 years" is a cause for joy but I'll take it.
Otherwise it was unremarkable. Though my arms are sore after two nurses and the doctor took turns poking them trying to find a vein. They nearly got to the point of getting an ultrasound.
I used the same prep foods as last time, and the only thing I would change is making more jelly and making it much harder: I got the consistency fine for jelly-as-dessert but that's not as chewy as I want for jelly-as-solid-food-substitute. I added fresh tumeric to the ginger jelly which added some nice depth of flavour.
Oh and we have a juicer now so I made fresh apple juice which was nice. I splashed out and bought a bag of galas which did taste nicer than juicing apples though the juice came out pinker than the gastroenterologist might have liked.
And apparently orange flavouring is ok even though red isn't? Meanwhile American sites say blue ISN'T ok because it "contains red" (?) but the instructions I got didn't mention it and too much blue stuff is delicious for me to give it up without direct instructions to do so.
