I love how in the epilogue he uses his skill with his hands to make a flower crown. Because this is what's left once you strip away all the stuff about being a sword: he's just really good with his hands.

It reminds me that in Rurouni Kenshin the absolute best swordsman in the series (Kenshin's teacher) is also a potter. Something about the precision of that style of swordfighting can translate into skill in crafting beautiful things. If post-canon Okita ever feels ready for a second career I could see him taking up some sort of craft.

All the epilogues are very worth watching, they were in some previous version for all the original six. I especially like the Saito one:
