I got into Dragon Age with DAI and fell pretty hard for Leliana...even though she wasn't romancable in DAI, so of course I had to play DAO (and all this started because I was supposed to play the beginning of DAI and let my partner know if she would enjoy it. Well...let's just say that it's been nearly a year and I've played all three games several times. My partner has yet to start a character on DAI however ;). What can I say?).
I don't know if you play on the PC, but I think there's a mod for DAO that removes the gender-restrictions on the Morrigan and Alistair romances.
Also, thanks for the Avatar recommendation! I'm definitely going to check it out soon :)
