Books I'm reading:
Turning the Page by Georgia Beers
A Spy In The House by Y S Lee
The Cartoon History of the World by Larry Gonick Jr

And I'm going to start "The Duke and I" by Julia Quinn once I finish one of those. I'm theoretically reading many more, but have stalled so long I can't even remember what they are.

Books I'm writing:
I'm currently in the very early planning stages of an original femslash visual novel with some people on tumblr. It's plausibly going to be about gothic vampires. (It has novel in the title, it counts!)

Book that I love the most:
Lol I have no idea. Pride and Prejudice has stayed dear to me the longest, I guess.

Last book I received as a gift:
"Anya's Ghost" by Vera Broscol.

Last book I gave as a gift:
Well, I just sent someone "Armageddon's Children" by Terry Brooks but it's still in transit. Also, I haven't read it, it was a request. So..."Meanwhile" by Jason Shiga.

Nearest book:
"The Agency", partly because I had to move it down to remind myself of the details, but also because it was at the head of my bed (where it has been for some time, I'm having trouble getting through it)

Oh, I have A Spy In The House in my ginormous TBR pile. Would love to hear your thoughts sometime.

Hm, ok. Thanks for the heads up - I'll try not to get too invested in the backstory stuff.

I'm NEARLY at the point of having everyone added as friends on skype. The person with the main idea and experience has been out all day, but I added another friend and we chatted about the fact that they don't have crumpets in the US(*). So...really not very far at all :D

(*)Which I found deeply shocking. Do you have crumpets in Argentina? It's funny the things we assume are universal without thinking about it.

Are you going to post about it as it advances? It sounds interesting!

Crumpets... I'm afraid we don't! I had to google to make sure (this is the sort of thing I know vaguely what it is and in what context is consumed but I don't actually have a clear idea or a direct translation) -- photo and name ('crumpet', too) in wikipedia and wikipedia in Spanish made me reach that conclusion. Which doesn't mean that they don't exist in the parts where there is a more heavy Anglo-Saxon immigration and/or influence, but I have never encountered one. I'm now tempted to search for a recipe and just make them...
