alias_sqbrI just watched the pilot episode of Outland, the new Australian comedy show about a group of gay and lesbian science fiction fans, and it was great. Not perfect, but lots of fun. They even referenced Swancon! (It's set in Melbourne)
There is a moment when the black disabled lesbian character (I see what you did there show) turns up at the top of a flight of stairs without any explanation which was a bit jarring. But I'm willing to let it slide :)

cannot believe i didn't pick up on the magic wheelchair access up the steps. perhaps there's a hidden lift on the other side of the door? from the roof? maybe she's secretly a dalek?
