Ug. I have no idea if there's anything I should be doing in advance of this cyclone except hope for the best. I guess tomorrow I go out and finally get around to putting the shovel in the shed? I can't see us getting flooding on the top of a hill in the north east of Perth but who knows. *catastrophises*

Also, wtf Egypt?

Now you're making me wonder whether I should be battening down the hatches too, considering how it seems like there's flooding and storms EVERYWHERE in the country; why should I assume that Melbourne will remain unscathed? Hmmm.

Well, I'd certainly consider the possibility something might happen, clean your gutters and make sure you have a battery powered radio etc (all the things I haven't done :))
