furikku requested "a plant person", and I had the following train of thought as I started vaguely sketching:
Muse: Snugglepot and Cuddlepie!
Me: No, we're doing an ORIGINAL picture, remember. Maybe I could do something similar though. Hmm...Australian native plants in yellow, pink and green...
Muse: A peppermint tree!
Me: They're not yellow and pink.
Muse: I SAID A PEPPERMINT TREE

Part of me has this niggling worry that I've been appropriative or...something. But I think the only way to avoid that worry is always taking the safe option of generic white people anthropormorphisation (not that she is an anthropomorphisation, exactly) Anyway, I hope not :/

And then I had ANOTHER go and got...a yellow baby. I tried giving her spots and green shading and stuff but it always came out looking naff.
