Homestuck: Auspistice by ~sqbr on deviantART

The trolls in Homestuck have 4 types of "romance", boiling down roughly to love (Matesprit), fated friendship (Moirallegiance), arch nemeses (Kismesis) and Auspistice, where two people whose relationship would otherwise break down are facilitated by a third. The first three are pretty easy to understand and (should one be so inclined(*)) ship, but Auspistice is kind of weird.


Homestuck: Tavros as Teo by ~sqbr on deviantART

Inspired by a discussion on Tumblr of who the various characters would dress as for Halloween, specifically the paraplegic character Tavros. And since he loves dressing as the troll equivalent of Peter Pan, Teo seemed good fit. Plus he's kind of a buttmonkey in canon, which annoys me, so I wanted to give him a chance to be cool.

Homestuck: Terezi as Toph by ~sqbr on deviantART

Terezi is rather Toph-like in a number of ways, not just the fact that she's blind. A rather better depiction of disability than Tavros imo, though still not super fantastic.

Relationship wise it would make more sense to have Terezi, Kanaya and Vriska but this amused me more :)

(*)And I am, I particularly love the concept of kismesis. Though the fact that almost all the characters are 13 or equivalent means that I find the idea of creating anything very shippy myself a bit squicky.

I literally started flailing my hands when I saw these. They're so perfect! I love that you drew them in the original style to make the crossover really work. And applying Auspistice to the desert crew is not something I ever would have thought of but it makes perfect sense.
