Prompts with references
Jun. 18th, 2010 04:35 pmAm feeling bored and aimless, having put up my reversebigbang art (links when the story is up too) and pretty much finished my dark_agenda art as much as I'm going to. I need to be distracted before I start arguing with people on the internet (more than I have been)
So! Art prompts! I will draw the couple for sure, and probably get to the others over time until I don't feel inspired any more.
Give me:
A prompt: (original or fannish. Nothing squicky or above PG. NO ZOMBIES)
plus
Reference images: Enough that I shouldn't have to resort to google images to figure out how to draw it. Thus: the characters(*) (and the less familiar I am, the more detail I will need. "Use this actor" is fine for book fandoms etc) plus if they're doing something unusual like sword fighting then a ref for the pose (Senshistock is good for this). If they wear unusual clothes I'll need a picture of them too.
Since by far the one thing that I find most off putting about prompts is figuring out how to lay them out and finding the references. I will probably not follow them exactly and look up extra images but it's nice to have somewhere to start from.

leecetheartist: regardless of when you comment I will draw your picture if you give me a werewolf and a casting for the archaelogist. A digsite would help too but I can fudge that :)
EDIT: LJ comment notifications seem to be down so comment on dreamwidth if you can.
(*)Unless it's something like "Hogwarts under attack by aliens" or "The Sydney Opera House under attack by aliens", in which case I will need pictures of Hogwarts/The Sydney Opera House and alien spaceships etc.

Date: 2010-06-19 05:14 am (UTC)Also, of Sami (he's the scientist on the left of the two that are standing on the last blue square) sitting next a fire outside, dressed in regular clothes. Here are pictures of the actor, and here are some pictures of people by camping fires.
If you're interested on the why, the first is something that really happened (various times, actually! And once they even played with Anya, another of the characters, but I didn't want to abuse), and the second is a scenario of a fix-it fic for that character that has been around my head for a while.
(And, btw, I totally understand if it's too boring or something and you would prefer not to do them. I'm no good at prompting. Like, I don't think you would do them anyway, but just in case!)

Date: 2010-07-07 04:02 am (UTC)The last time I drew someone by a fire it came out really crap and I'd been meaning to have another go, which is why I chose this of your two prompts :)
