SORRY TURNS OUT I'M NOT DONE

I was reccing HOB to a friend and in the process looked at the first chapter to get the link... and now I'm 17 chapters into a reread whoops.

So here are some thoughts! These are mostly written for myself, with a lot of quotes I liked (the first 24 chapters are on a site which allows me to cut and paste, woo) and notes on things I may find useful for fic. (if you're curious I am 4K into a Shi Qing Xuan/He Xuan fixit fic that better suits my personal tastes than the examples I found on AO3)

I don't know if I'll reread the whole thing, but I did spend most of the first two books MASSIVELY confused about EVERYTHING. Certainly at the moment I'm noticing SO MUCH I missed the first time. Eventually I might just start skipping about for anything I need for fic.

This will be both very confusing and massively spoilery for anyone who isn't familiar with the plot.
