Thinking about how I relate to my fictional squicks

I've had a few conversations about this lately and feel like poking at it. I'm not sure where I'm heading with the poking, so hopefully it won't be too incoherent. I know I've talked about some of this before but I feel like talking about it again!

I am especially interested in prompts for Hakuoki or The Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation, but I'm open minded! Original prompts welcome. Visual references are useful for non-visual media.

Please no: zombies(*), or anything too sexy or squicky.

(*)I am down for blood and vampires though ;) Also, like, sentient possessed corpses as long as they're not too gross.
