Random rambles while I wait for Cam
May. 17th, 2013 06:03 pmWas stuck home bored today, and I have: painted my nails with what was intended to look like red/orange lava but ended up looking more like pink leopard print, watched about half of Victor Victoria (it's a lot gayer than I was expecting!) and installed and played Dragon Age:Origins on the new computer.
Cam hasn't transfered my saves yet so I started a new character, a female Dalish elf since I rather rushed through my original play of the Dalish origin and never took him past Ostagar. I'm really enjoying it! The fact that this is Merril's clan and that mirror adds a bunch of extra meaning I didn't have last time, and I'm just enjoying playing the game again. I may try for being Alastair's mistress, never done that before, and I can see Tesni liking him.
I'm currently at Ostagar and not playing any more tonight since soon Cam will come home and we can watch the ELEMENTARY SEASON FINALE OMG. (And then I can go back onto tumblr haha)

quadrantfest, which is about using Homestuck shipping on other fandoms. Which is to say, lots of hateshipping and friendship gen :D :D (also conflict resolution gen, but I'm not so much into that) When I am more awake I'm going to prompt Dragon Age 2 if noone else has, since the rivalry romances were made for being written as kismesis (hateship/sexualised rivalry)
I had an explore around the Crown Casino the other day, it was an interesting experience but having tried the one promising looking restaurant (the Carvery, which made Sizzler look good) and noodled around the river I don't think I'll do it again. Also Cam and I went to the Nobu Japanese restaurant there a while ago and it was nice enough but SUPER EXPENSIVE (what the online menu doesn't make clear is the dishes are super small, they charge for sashimi by the slice) and the sort of fusion which involves lots of dairy, chili, and citrus. No thank you.
EDIT: ELEMENTARYYYYYYYYY <3 <3 <3 Season one is finished and it was satisfying and grand. Not perfect, for sure, especially if you want your mysteries to be actually mysterious, but it made me fairly consistently happy as few shows do.
