So it turns out I somehow re-arranged my friendslist so that a chunk of people and communities weren't on any of my custom groups. A year or so ago. I thought I'd fixed it, but it turns out I was still missing thanners, so who knows how many others have fallen off the radear. I'll have another go at fixing it this weekend, but I thought you should know in case you've been feeling ignored! (Though I often don't comment much on blogs anyway)
